I will not comment on Chris brown because we dont know what happened but, What I will say is that Rihanna chose an inapporpriate time to convey her side of the story. I question her motives. It is so tacky of her to do this right before an ablum release. Im dont know the time frame it takes to be able to talk about this type of incident but im sure its not two weeks before you get ready to release an album.

Just like people dont try to make rape victims relive their nightmare until the victim is good and ready to speak and that usually takes time.

First of all I would like to say that the definition of domestic violence is a "pattern" of abuse not one incident. From reports prior to the incident it was said that during an argument Rhianna hit Chris but she was not labeled as an abuser. Also she still saw him after the incident and didn't press charges because I feel like she knew she did alot of wrong as well. But letting him take the brunt of this situation is appalling. She is not a victim of domestic abuse, and by saying that she is a voice for these women is making a mockery of their pain. I know women who where shot, burned and stalked by their abusers and what happened between her and Chris is nowhere on that level. I was that woman who was with a man who was a great guy and I would yell, push and hit him until he finally snapped and roughed me up one day. At first I was like I am a victim, he abused me but then I had to take a step back and analyze my own behavior. In the end I realized that the issue was with me. I have been with the man for over three years and he has not put his hands on me since because I quit being abusive to him. She is no one that I would model my life after or have my daughters look to as a role model. A role model admits their faults and takes responsibility for the part they play in any situation. She has never said what really happened because I think that we would all see that Chris is not the monster that she is letting him be portrayed as. I am sad that she has been chosen woman of the year. If you want to highlight survivors of abuse then pay tribute to women who lost their lives to abuse or who suffer permanent disfigurement from abuse. Rhianna being painted as a victim and survivor just makes me laugh because she could never understand a true abuse survivors pain
