MediaTakeOut.com just learned that Antonio Cromartie from the San Diego Charges was questioned last night in connection with an assault.
What happened?? Well Antonio - who is a Pro-Bowl defensive back - was out with a bunch of friends at a bar in San Diego last night. And while he was there, someone got hit in the head with a bottle.
Police questioned Antonio, but he was not arrested. According to Antonio's rep, Antonio was NOT the person who threw the bottle, and he is NO LONGER a suspect.
So why did the police even question him in the first place? Antonio's rep claims that one of the partygoers FALSELY accused him of the crime. But that once the police interviewed other partygoers, they soon realized that it wasn't him.
If Antonio were to be convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, he would face 10-15 years in prison.
