Word is that Mariah and her label Def Jam have been squabbling for months, and that she may be getting dropped.
What’s the problem? Well Def Jam reportedly spent big bucks promoting Mariah's new album, and it flopped. So now they're looking to cut their losses.
Wow, Mariah's been plagued with bad luck lately. First she married Nick Cannon, and now this!
In other news, word is that producer Jermaine Dupri wants to be on TV's "Dancing With The Stars."
According to reports, Jermaine, who started off his career as a dancer, has contacted producers and asked to a part of next season's cast.
Well that would be a first for "Dancing with the Stars." I don't think they've ever had a Little Person on the show before.

I agree!! The album DID NOT FLOP! She is releasing a REMIX album in February! She is a HUGE HEADLINER! LA Reid would be foolish to do such a thing, and I dont think that will happen. Mariah has made and will continue to make millions for them. If it wasnt for that damn leak a few weeks before the album dropped the numbers would be higher...the numbers arent bad, but the would have been higher if it had not been leaked. Mariah is STILL on FIRE after 20+ years in the game. MCC aint goin no where MTO, STOP HATIN!
The news about Mariah Carey getting dropped by Def Jam is long overdue. I have been calling for her to get dropped so they can spend her marketing and promotional dollars on Chrissette Michelle who has the potential to be a star, instead of catering to hasbeen Mariah. This should have been done years ago. Finally Def Jam is getting wise, to realize that she is no longer marketable and most people think she is a lunatic/diva.

It's a rap for Mariah she can not sing any longer! She's been sounding real terrible lately in live performances sure she used to have that star money making power just like Whitney Houston use to and they both have made their record labels HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but the fans have moved on we will still enjoy her greatest hits on radio and in our record collections, but it's time for the new blood to do what they came here to do and that's take their places. As for J.D I'm not looking forward to seeing him on dancing with the stars unless his team would compete against Janet's team.

Yeah I like Standing O and Betcha. Its rumored that R. Kelly will be on the remix to Betcha gon Know. I dont think the timing was good at all for the singles dropping. The album should have dropped right when Obsessed starting to blow up. It would have been perfect timing. Too many push backs. I LOVE H.A.T.E.U. and I love the remix even more. Mariah has not been dropped from IDJ. Plus her CD is fabulous. There are many good songs on this CD: Up Out My Face, Standing O, Inseparable, Betcha Gon Know and the list goes on. Also, if Nick is a plague, I'm sure a lot of women wouldn't mind catching what he has because he is a good catch for any woman. He is making his own money and loves his wife so what type of plague would you call that?

Check the facts this was the last CD under her contract. Cutting ties with Def Jam maybe Dropped never. MiMi got long money... Her label didn't spend enough to promote her and the song that the label selected as singles was not the one she wanted. Now if you had said that she was in dispute over that then I would have believed that but to be dropped. Find another story this one is not going to cut it....
