: MediaTakeOut.com is sad to tell you that actress Alaina Reed Hall, who played the Rose from 227, passed away at age 63. She battled for many years with breast cancer. In addition to her work on 227, Alaina also played Olivia, Gordon's younger sister' on Sesame Street. She also had guest roles on shows such as "Ally McBeal", "Friends" and "A Different World".
Alaina was married three times and has two children. Her second marriage was to a 227 co-star, Kevin Peter Hall, who began starring as Rose's love interest. The two began a romantic relationship in 1988 and eventually married. Kevin Hall passed away in 1991, due to complications of AIDS from a blood transfusion.
She will truly be missed.
Alaina was one of the the more likable characters on the show 227, but I really liked all the people who lived in 227 on the show and made us laugh every week.
