Write Bros Films presents Drushawn, written and directed by Richard and Raysean Autry. Jahmal Garrett stars as basketball star Drushawn in a film chronicaling the struggles of a young man battling peer pressure and notions of male masculinity in urban society. Drushawn also stars Justin Bell, Aletra Baker, Sierra Turner, Justin Mitchell and Courtney Wheaton.
I think the ABC special was well done except for two things. A real expert should have been brought in and not Steve Harvey. I also felt like the anchor was laughing at Black women when she introduced the piece. Other then that, I believe the women were intelligent, beautiful and very respectful of Black men. I might have gone in a little harder. Black men have lost their way and neglected the Black woman. There is no excuse for it. And the other races seem to be enjoying the mess Black men have created.

He was basically saying Tyler feeds into the many black stereotypes that people see us as. The Madea and Browns character is ghetto, loud, and ignorant... exactly how white people look at us and Tyler makes theses movies and white people sit back and laugh at us. Plus you don't know how much money Spike Lee has I guess sense Tyler flashes it more you just think he's richer.

cosign! even though I did like "Diary Of a Mad Black Woman"...I think Tyler should try doing other sorts of films giving black actors more versatile roles & alot less or non-stereotyped
kashmirxxx~ I can't tell you how many times I've said the same thing to family and friends. Spike wasn't "hattin" I've said the same thing about that Meet the Browns show that show set us back 100 yrs. with that man mispronouncing every word that comes out of his mouth I find no humor in that show at all. Spikes not hattin, what about the many people that feel the same way about some of Tyler's work we just don't have the platform to say it on.

spike lee aint hating on know one...he is a grown azz man and just because he is stating his opinion on tyler perry movies doesn't means he is hating...hell tyler perry movies do portray blacks very negative...and we need to support spike's movies more....tyler was hella mad that he didn't have aything to do with producing precious....now that would have been ugly
Spike is cool in my book, Steve Harvey, dont even mention his name around me, he is another celebrity who thinks he is better than people, dont have time to sign autographs and take pictures. Who the @#$%^ he think he is. No hear say but i hope he gets to read this, my co worker use to work for his station and my co worker little girl birthday was that day and my co worker asked for a picture and to sign an autograph, I'm not a fan of Steve Harvey and will never be until he change his ways and attitude.
