: MediaTakeOut.com has some sad news to report. On New Years eve, a tragedy occurred at Atlanta record producer Demetrius Stewart’s (gov’t name Shawty Redd) home.
Here’s what popped off. According to MediaTakeOut.com’s informers, Shawty was having a New Years get together with a group of friends. And at some point in the nigh, Shawty and a dude that came to the party with one of his friends started arguing.
Before long, the argument escalated into a fight – and the two men reportedly started scrapping. After a brief tussle (which occurred inside Shawty’s home), Shawty reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the man, killing him.
The Henry County police department outside f Atlanta charged Shawty with a homicide.
We don’t know what to think. It seems a bit EXCESSIVE to shoot somebody, but at the same time you are taking your LIFE INTO YOUR HANDS when you try and fight somebody in THEIR OWN HOME!!!
HE CAN POSSIBLY GET AWAY WITH IT. IT WAS AT HIS HOME. IF HE FELT THREATENDED ENOUGH HE CAN SAY HE WAS ATTACKED IN HIS HOME AND WAS IN FEAR OF HIS LIFE. He's going to jail. First off there will be an investigation on whether or not *** Redd's life was being threatened. If not, then that's strike two. Strike one was the killing. And then there will be an investigation to see if the gun was legal and registered in his name, if not, that's strike three. If everything is proved in Redd's favor, he will be charged with manslaughter. If not, he will be charged with murder... Either way, he's probably going to jail. Sad

Several "reports" say Damon Martin was a music producer and friend of Demetrius "*** Red" Stewart. During an argument Stewart was threatened with violence and retrieved a firearm for self defense. Stewart *** Martin but not 'intentionally' so turned himself into Henry County police. Bond was denied Saturday while police investigate; next court date Jan 12.

Other than that, it was a "mutual combat" situation. Dude apparently didn't have a weapon so it looks like Red took it to another level.
