cuz i aint no slave to white people. *** all that hollywood barbie *** which our *** dont fit into no way. all these black female actors and singers nowadays gotta get a weave a nose job and at times bleach they precious dark skin to fit into white standards. dayum shame. *** that ***. i have gone to work wearin a fro dashikis and a african dress and my white co workers admired it on me cuz it was somethin new to them. i find you will get plenty of respect when you go against the white beauty grain and do you.
@soccermom: well,it depends how it's done...yes,there's the typical,hood chicks that sport tacky @ times way too over-the-top,ghetto hairdos & then there's other ladies that just want a different look or be a bit daring,that's all...That's the beauty of black ppls hair,besides it coming it an array of textures,it's the most versatile & so many things can be done with it
@soccermom ive seen white chics who dont even look good with blonde hair. they think oh im white so automatically it goes with them. false. and theres nothing wrong with black girls sporting blonde hair. theyre some black girls that look better with it than some of white girls ive seen with it. blonde doesnt go with everyone period wether black white hispanic, light skinned dark skinned etc.

I think she can actually pull it off, she really has the face for a lot of different hair styles and colors. Question: if blonde hair color is ghetto, how do yall feel about bubblegum pink, neon green, bright *** koolaid red? My former job opened up our hair product shop in San Bernardino CA to the general public and I couldnt believe how these were the most requested hair colors!
by the way ashanti's hair is naturally that long, so i don't know why ppl keep saying its weave. if she has few tracks in its for thickness.
also i don't get how dying your hair lighter makes you trying to fit into white standards. its not a rule we can only have black and brown hair. we should be able to do whatever makes us look our best.

but the style and color is cute. but she didnt dye her hair, she probably just changed her weave since most hollywood chicks wear them.
ashanti is pretty but her career been done a few years now...
Uhhhhh, I am not feeling the hair, at all. She's probably trying to re-invent herself to jump start her career, but it's probably a wrap for the singing because let's face it, she was never a Mary J. Blige. I think she missed the opportunity while she was still hot to make the transition to her next career (i.e. song writing, acting, reality tv, etc...) I do wish her the best, though. I love it when people beat the odds.
