I had such high hopes for Fantasia after she won Idol. Unfortunately, this is becoming the typical, stereotypical ghetto win. Because she has such low level educational skills, she is being swallowed up by negative media, her own family, and no hits! Even her stint in "The Color Purple" did not help to boost her image into a positive successful talent. Now, she has joined those crabs that scrape the bottom of the barrel by her latest - a Reality Show which will expose even more of her dysfunctional family. Great voice - but impossible to market. The days of Aretha Franklin, Chaka, and Gladys are gone. Female voices today have a different texture; gone are the ‘gospel’ embued-voices that took us through the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Now the airwaves and fans seek pop voices like: Rhianna, Beyonce’and others. There are some who are trying very hard, but are unable to be consistent such as Jennifer Hudson, Jasmine Sullivan. Even Mary struggles to maintain top status. At least she has a loyal fan base. Unfortunately, I don’t believe that Fantasia can return. She might have a couple of hits, but I seriously don’t see her as one of the top female singers. I wish she’d concentrate on getting her GED, take some serious college classes, continue with her career, but also do something on the backside because if she continues like this, her family will clean her out. That money only goes so far…..(she ought to take heed from Keisha – she’s one who knows!)

And yes we do have a few that could revive music like Jasmine Sullivan (who's album I have) but Jasmine's too thick if she took off her clothes and coochie popped acrossed the stage for 45 mins to an hour then she would be the biggest selling artist of all time.
