Personally I think Alicia Keys music is better. While Beyonce can sing and dance, her music is real generic, well most of it lol Some may find Alicia Keys boring, so I've heard. I guess it depends on personal taste. I tend to go for the grown and sexy, which I've always have. So maybe I'm biased {Shrugs}
Alicia Keys is definitely trying to step her game up and become a brand and somewhat of a sexy fashionista like Beyonce did.
Also, I think that Alicia and Swizz are trying to become the new "It" couple. Once his divorce is final, you will be seeing them a lot more.
But, Alicia and Beyonce both offer something different. And I think they can both be queens at what they individually do.
At this point, though, fashion wise, brand wise and performance wise, I think Alicia still has a long way to go, but you can definitely tell that she's working on it.
In order to beat (or even compete) with Beyonce, you have to be able to do the following things:
-Dance real well
-Sing even better
-Wear the hell out of any and every outfit
-Have universal beauty
-Have a multi-platinum album every single solitary year for at least 10 years
-Been in a multi-platinum group
-Survived the same level of controversy Bey has
-Been featured on VH1 Divas
-Won at least 10 grammys and 1 oscar nomination in your lifetime
If you're lacking in just ONE of those areas, you're not in Bey's league. Sorry, but Alicia doesn't make the cut.
