first of all, if you want to get technical, yes, as it was mentioned before, both Dominicans and African Americans fall into the Negroid race classification.. Dominican is a nationality, NOT a RACE! In terms of race, a lot of people have been throwing the word Black around. Black, being a term to classify those who are descendants of the African Diaspora, and when looking at the features, the hair texture and the skin pigmentation it is clear many dominicans fall into this category, as there are a very minimal amount who will be considered caucasoid bc they have blonde hair and blue eyes..
The situation is when the world looks at Zoe they see her black color, they don't see her culture, history or language.
