Hey Folks! We all have our own opinion about these women who have had children for Lil Wayne. As much as we might protest its ignorance and delayed consequences, it seems that for whatever reason, there are women out there who are willing to have these children for the sake of the ‘name’ and the ‘attention’ and the ‘money’ and the ‘fame’ of having a ‘star’ in their world until that child is 18 (at least). What I find so horrifying is that these same children will have to attend somebody’s school, sit beside somebody else’s child who knows their history through the “rag-mags” and will have to
deal with bullying, self-esteem issues, and whatever else comes with this degradation. I feel sorry for the children. I know that as a teacher, I have had to deal with the ‘fallout’ from many a star’s child who has sat in my classroom and drew pictures of torture, dismemberment, and hate of their parents because of their birthing situation. No matter what we think or feel, or what the media and the society we live in tells us, we are still a people who believe that love and relationship and marriage is first – and then the children are born into a ‘family’. The family surrounds the children with love and compassion and support. These women who are willingly getting pregnant, knowing that this man is open for all, and probably having sex with as many women as will have him, means that the chances of him carrying disease from Chlamydia-to-HIV and AIDS is great! They don’t realize or know the possibilities of disease and genes that may carry destructive genetic maladies from both parents. It is a sad case in our history, and will be a continued sad case in our MEDICAL HISTORY AND EVALUATIONS when in 10-30 years, scientists and medical people discover something else that will possibly ‘kill us off’ because of our own stupidity, ignorance, irresponsibility and pride. I have seen the results of drugs on the children that I teach. I have seen the low self-esteem these young people have because their family situation is so twisted and distorted. I attended college with a young woman who met a young man that she fell in love with. They moved in together and spoke constantly of the life they wanted to have together when they graduated. One was from California, the other New York City. Can you imagine how these two innocent young people felt when they discovered that they were BROTHER AND SISTER! Yes – Mother of one and Father of another. It was the most devastating situation that any two people had to undergo. I suffered right along with them as they went from an excited, happy couple, to the lowest pit of hell! Their parents never told them the truth about their own past – and it just ‘happened’ that these two would attend the same college, find each other, and then develop a relationship. I think that people who give over to their own desires and do not think about what their actions might incur for their children are most unwise. God has given us the tools and the scripture and the spirit within us to know the difference between what is wrong and what is right. When, oh Lord – will we heed your Word and stop this insanity!?
