I'm gonna set the record straight for you. Let's face facts. Whether some of you will admit it or not, black men are seen to be the most sexually attractive of all races. Dark skin represents masculinity and we tend to have the most athletic bodies. But, when it comes to society, most women view white men at the top because it is a white minority of men that control most of the wealth and natural resources of the world. And most of the affluent sectors of society are dominated by white men.
That's why a sucessful black man tends to have the pick of the ladies when he's made it. He already has the sexual prowess that MOST women desire and he's managed to make it in what is perceived to be a white man's world. Now, there's no denying that there is a history of black men being seen a fetish and the whole 'myth' of being sexual virile and being well endowed has added to this, but let me ask you this, why is the old cliche 'tall, dark and handsome' used? Because subconciously, that is what women are attracted to. Security, powerfulness and strength. Black men (in terms of physicality) represent this, we are the original man.
So now you may ask, if it's easy for a black man who sucessful to have the pick of the bunch, why can't black women with degrees as succesfull careers do the same? Well, there's no easy way to say this, but the fact is, you are the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to sexual attraction. I'm not saying to this be spiteful or the hurt you, it's just the trurth. Now if you happen to be a black woman that has no problem attracting any race of man, then good for you. Pat yourself on the back, but the general consensus of most men of other races is that black women are the least attractive. Black women are at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to attraction by other races of men. Does this mean I view black women as unattractive? No, otherwise, I wouldn't have married one. It's not a delusion, it's just how western society has dictated beauty. To deny the influence of the media on most children would be naive. That's why unfortunately have black women mutilating their hair to be straight. It's through centuries of indoctrination. Not all black women are like this and I'm not saying all black women who relax their hair hate themselves but it is the result of black beauty being cast aside for centuries.
If I have a daughter, I'll tell her what my wife believes, beauty and self-esteem comes from within. You don't need others to validate your self worth of beauty. But if we're going to look at the asthetic of things, I stand by what I said. I'm not here to aggravate or annoy others. I just post my opinions and keep it moving. tuff-tony, respect my brother. If you call rape over the centuries of black women as deep sexual attraction then so be it. Maybe that is the case. I'm just speaking from experience and research over the years that it's seen as more of a fetish for alot of white men. I've heard alot of them (in corporate envrionments) state how they wanna bang a black chick just to expierence if they really are virile etc. Don't get it twisted, I'm sure other races of women share those same sentiments when it comes to black men... but again, it wasn't other races of women that enslaved black men and raped them (although I'm not denying that black men got lynched during slavery because of just looking at white women.) Just honestly from experience, I see alot of white American men running to Asian women for their perceived docile nature and feminity (a trait alot of men feel American men have lost), Asian men tend to stick with their own, if not, then with white women, and yes, alot of black men do interracially date but the majority still marry their own.
The only reason the myth of the *** of black men is perpetuated it because there are more black women than men. It's not rocket science. But again, other factors such as prison rates and homicide add to this, and I'm not denying this.
But I feel the envy of a woman's attributes from each race goes both ways (as you have stated). Some would argue that pale skinned women trying to tan are trying to be more exotic and closer to a mediterranean color rather than trying to be black.
