: MediaTakeOut.com received word that yesterday the UNTHINKABLE happened at a New Jersey Wal-Mart, someone went on the intercom and said "Attention Wal-Mart customers . . . All Black leave the store immediately."
As soon as the Black customers heard the announcement, they started looking around in SHOCK and EMBARRASSMENT. In a few minutes, however, a Wal-Mart manager got onto the intercom and made a follow up announcement, apologizing for the first.
So now the question is WHAT HAPPENED? Was that some kind of Wal-Mart policy? Or was it a rogue employee? Or did some customer hack into the intercom?
So far no one knows. Wal-Mart says they are investigating how that happened. For now, the issued the below response:
We are just as appalled by this incident as our customers. Whoever did this is just wrong and acted in an inappropriate manner. Clearly, this is completely unacceptable to us and to our customers.
Stop spending money with people who are only going to disrespect and disregard us. Black people really need to stop being consumers-just for one month. Spend your money with people who will invest it back in your communities.
I understand the convenience of a store like Walmart. It is hard to get everything you need in one place, but we need to sacrifice convenience to stand as a united front against these companies that treat us like sh--.

Yeah that's crazy, and if I was in that store at that time I would've been really shocked! Just imagine being in there shopping and minding your business, and then hearing something like that outta the blue!..WOW. But it was probably just some dumb employee or customer. I use to work at a wal-mart, so I know how easy it is to get a hold of one of them phones...SMH
That was customer,had to have been. Who's going to risk losing their job by attempting such ignorance...They need to watch the tape,go to the district attorney and see if that person can be charged with trying to "incite a riot".Turn the picture over to the media, and go from there!..This behavior needs to be made an example of.They wanted to give a Black woman time for "line Jumping"...but not this?...Riiight.

But yeah, anyone can work a PA system. There are tons of them around the store. People who used to work at WalMart would know how to work theirs easily, so don't automatically blame the store employees.
