People think that because no one is screaming " T.I snitched on me" that he didn't which is completely false. Example: If the police arrested me for Car jacking which carries a minimum of 5yrs to life (in Florida).. The only way I could get below that minimum is by SNITCHING... Now say I snitched on some drug dealers down the street from me how would those drug dealers know I gave them up? you dont need documentation to be a snitch, money to the right places and telling where the hook(police) can find some cats to lock u is snitching, it happens all the time..i dont know if he snitched or not, but 7 months for a know felon caught with military weapons is suspect as hell..he should have got 10 years for the silencer alone..
For those who don't know T.I. testified with the authorities in the case of the murder of his best friend in Ohio for exchange in a lower Federal sentence for himself.... Any body with a library card can go to a law library and find out mandatory minimum of illegal possion of a silencer is an AUTOMATIC 15yrs... and so is possesion of a firearm by a convicted felon. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out what happened. Alot of you fail to realize there is a big difference between the fed and the state level.

All y'all calling people snitches need to read a book. Your facts don't add up and you're obviously a self-hater. I know of somebody who robbed a federal bank and got off way easy cuz his fam had money and a good lawyer. Plus he paid back all the money and he never hurt nobody. So STFU and focus on your own life. Your kids will thank you later. Everything ain't always how it's supposed to be in the law books. And I ain't a TI fan.
@tuff-Tony, it's real easy to say he snitched and the proof is such a light sentence, but the fact of the matter is, when there's only u involved in ur case, the people to tell on kinda dwindles, and then even his judge said that he only agreed to that sentence as a trial to see if celebrities really can make a difference in society. But the judge also said if he ain't complete his community service that he was gon be locked up for that ten year stretch. So his sentence was cause his lawyer put both of they asses on the line, not cuz of snitching.
GatorSity...all that you typed sounds good..but the only way a judge can play with mandatory sentences is if the prosecution makes a deal with the defendent..and the federal mandatory minimum for being caught with a silencer not in the commision of a violent crime or drug deal is 2 1/2 yrs to 5 yrs..for a person with NO felonious convictions..i know this for a fact. so that being the case..he gave somebody up to get that sentence..i'm not arguing the morality of making the choice to tell on somebody..i'm stating facts..if the judge would circumvent the mandatory minimum without the prosecutions agreeance they would have appealed it and won.

SMH@ all the jail mentality going on in this thread..If someone murdered my best friend and I can assist in anyway possible with law enforcement to find their murderer thus sparing me to have to foolishly seek retribution and risk spending time behind dirty jail walls, showering with complete strangers, eating dirty nasty jail food with hair and god knows whatever else inside of it, THAN mufukkas call me a SNITCH!! But make that a smart snitch...There are exceptions in my opinion in certain cases, common sense exceptions..Snitching cuz you did the crime and don't want to do the time is dif!
