Majority of New Yorkers always think they are classier than people from the south or other parts of the US. My question is why are there so many northerners moving to southern cities (Dallas,Charlotte, and Atlanta)? There are so many New Yorkers in Atlanta. I don't have a problem with New Yorkers but they complain so much about the south.

Co-sign @ glam_barbie. There are a lot of educated blacks here in Chicago. Some have moved here and some have always been here. Much of Chicago has been gentrified so I'm not sure why someone would call it dirty. I also agree with KatDaddy. It is so corrupt here that you really have to have a lot of political connections to be successful or just know the right people. I've been blessed so far but I see more of the political mess as the economy worsens.

I don't care for NY that much actually, and I was born and raised here but I have to say that EVERYONE comes here to sightsee, what is there is Chicago? We have the statue of lib, Empire state bldg, 42nd Street, Broadway plays, the Met, the Gugenhiem, the MOMA, Tavern on the green, the Apollo, Harlem, 5th ave, china Townn Excellent restraunts, etc! What does Chi town have? I really wanna know?
NY for a young person is a *** wonderland! Bryant Park, Colombia University, NYU, FIT! The Yankee's up on 161! Madison Square Garden! The *** life is unlike no other! I've never been to chi-town so I'd really be interested in learning what's really good there! The villiage, alphabet city! NYC is the city that never sleeps!

List should be called, the largest cities in the US. Duh! I've lived or visited every single one of them and really can't say that going to any of those places made me feel like it was truly a prominently black city. Closest were NYC, DC and ATL cause they tend to have more activites celebrating black culture. And where were all my black Chicagians when I was there?! I was looking for ya! That's what I get for living downtown!
