: MediaTakeOut.com learned of one of the most HEINOUS crimes in recent memory. A 34 year old Georgia woman was beaten and stabbed to death by her TWIN DAUGHTERS.
Here's what we know. Jarmecca Whitehead, gave birth to twin daughters when she was just 17 years old. Shortly after their birth, the girls, Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehead, were given to their grandmother to be raised.
But Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah were very troubled young ladies. They reportedly got into a lot of trouble and last year, they became TOO MUCH for their grandmother.
So the twins, aged 16 at the time, moved back with their mother Jarmecca and her boyfriend.
That's where the story gets fuzzy. What MediaTakeOut.com can say is that the girls routinely CLASHED with their mom - who was trying to discipline them. And just THREE DAYS after returning home, things CAME TO A HEAD.
Here's how the local CBS News is reporting it:
Twin sisters are charged with killing their mother. Police arrested the 16-year-old girls Friday.Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehead are charged as adults.
Conyers Police Chief Gene Wilson said, “That would make the District Attorney feel comfortable charging them as adults. I think that speaks about how vile this act was and how vicious this attack was."
Police said the teens stabbed and beat their 34-year-old mother, Jarmecca Whitehead, to death. She was found in her Conyers home on Jan. 13. Initially, police said the daughters told them they came home and found their mother’s body.
Before she died, Jarmecca, who was known as Nikki, confided in her neighbor.
Angela Avery said, "The mother was kind of afraid that something like that might happen."
Avery did not know why. She said, "I can't explain why because the mother didn't do a lot of talking, but she did have that particular fear. Yes, she did."

She didn't raise them, so there was probably a little resentment/detachment there and she went on to do well for herself. Afterall, they killed her in her own property, which was a nice house in a closed community.
I bet they wanted money from her and felt she owed them. Particularly that indignant looking one Tasmiyah, you can see it was probably all her idea and Jasmiyah went along with it.

No I believe they harbored hate and resentment towards their mother for not being there when they felt they needed her and if she was now trying to discipline them, that could have set them off.
If they have a good lawyer, the lawyer can and will present them as good girls in a bad situation. They will most definitely claim they were molested and if it's trues, that's probably enough to hate on mom for putting them in that situation.

They had a lot of anger in them against their mother. Women need to think before giving their children away like puppies. The mother probably put her boyfriend above her daughters and never did a *** thing for them while they were growing up. When they nearly grown, then she tries to exert discipline like a mother but it was too late for that. I feel sorry for the grandmother. Daughter dead, granddaughters in prison for the next half century. It's over for them now, they should have moved out on their own and not return to the mother's house.

Evidence found on a crime scene is the most accurate evidence for identifying guilty parties and I don't believe these girls were smart enough to completely cover their trail, so it won't be hard to put things together. I am sure that if the girl's receive seperate counsel one sister will fold on the other.

@MrLife: I'm a strong believer that corporal punishment on a regular basis does nothing but harm children. My mother and father rarely raised a hand to me and I turned out fine. I often find it ironic that my mom would often beat one of my brothers and sisters more than the remaining siblings and those are the ones that turned out bad. One's dead and the other is a 30yr old *** living at home. While the rest of us are all college grads with families and seperate lives. And your statistics on single parent homes are way off.
Young girls without a stable upbringing can be viscious. I've often had thoughts of my niece doing something like this to my sister. My oldest sister took her in when my other sister died and the child has had so many behavioral and developmentally issues simply because she didn't get the proper care needed growing up. She was only 9 or 10 and we were getting calls from her school saying that she told some little girl she would slit her throat! She's gotten better but the fears never subside. I won't even leave her alone with my son :-/

I agree with many of you that there had to be some trauma that took place in the lives of these young ladies ::although that does not excuse the crime:: It is more unfortunate that their lives were filled with problems (per the report) and more than likely, they were not referred to any professional services to prevent this from happening. These girls look as if they are without life in their eyes and they do look disturbed. I am hopeful that they receive the help that they are in need of from the correctional facility.

Just wanted to say I have a friend that did not raise her kids and she has no good reason behind it, she has a dayum good job making 50000 a year plus bonuses but decided to chase a no good azz man and let her mom raise her babies. Well now 11 years have gone by and they're no longer babies they dont respect her, treat her like a homegirl, cuss her out etc etc, maybe these twins held some type of ill will towards their mom. My friend acts as if shes done nothing wrong and her oldest daughter calls me all the time and she is broken behind her moms lack of remorse and justification behind why shes still chasing that no good loser around while her mom whos is now 65, with health problems, is still raising her daughters. You should look into some of the charter schools, they have scholarships. I feel your pain, *** really are like crabs in a barrel and if you and your kids aren't content to act all thuggish and n*ggerish like them they will try to so everything they can to make your life hell. But if you can find a good charter school that gives black parents with standards as well as parents of other races in a similar position the chance at a private school level education and away from all the trash and street garbage, it can be a good move.
This is why I don't feel bad when some young women at age 16 get pregnant & decide to terminate the pregnancy... If she had raised them maybe they would have had more respect or love for her. I don't have a relationship with my mother. I haven't seen nor spoken to her in 10 years. She was verbally and emotionally abusive and sometimes physically abusive to me and she lied to me about m father all of my life until age 25 after looking for me on US Search. Even after confronting my mother about her lies she planned on taking with her to her grave she still lied and said she never said such things. I say all of that to say that although I have no respect for her as a person, I would never put my hands on my mother or wish harm on her either.
Although my mother put the 'fun' in dysfunctional, I'm thankful that in spite of dealing with all of that, I still believe in family and love. I think family is a beautiful thing and still believe that one day I will have my own and IF I have at least one child, my blood will know that their momma loves them to pieces. I've come to discover that my mother has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and unfortunately these people never make amends to the people they hurt/abuse because they don't think they've done anything wrong. It's always everyone elses fault.

ladytop It's something in our culture (caribbean/West Indian)that's been going on for generations. My dad's Guyanese and some of the things him & my uncles and aunts experienced, whoa! My mother left me at 4 months old with my grandmother, didn't send any money to take care of me and she came back when I was 5 years of age. She comes back with some man and told me that was my father and moved him in to my grandmothers 2 bedroom apartment and I was already sharing a room with her. My aunt had the other room. See this is what I'm going to school for. As a forensic psychologist I would delve into all parties involved background from childhood up to their current age to determine what would cause these girls to commit this specific crime. Was there any undetected or undiagnosed psychosis. Although horrendous, I find this topic very interesting.

Nikki will TRULY be missed. She used to do my hair back in the day. She was SOOOOO FUNNY, was a COMPLETE SWEETHEART, and LOVED EVERYBODY! I knew her kids were a bit unruly, but NEVER IN A TRILLION YEARS, would I think something like this would happen. After the incident,I kinda figured Jas & Tas had something to do with it.At the funeral, the family was divided.One of the twins were sitting next to me (with one grandmother), instead of the front row with the other twin and the other grandmother. Then there was an altercation at the burial site. It was HORRIBLE!I'm still going to pray for them.

Ok these girls do not need jail time. Yes these girls did a henious crime but their psychologically messed up. Look @ their pics. And they've been involved in previous crimes together? They seriously need some counseling. The story alone speaks for itself of the possibilities of things that may go wrong in the home of twins that are passed around like that.
i'm in no way condoning what they've done but this is just scratching the surface, nobody but them really knows emotionally, mentally, etc. what they were going through.
Whatever the case the deceased raised, or didn't for that matter, these two killers, that is the real tragedy, that perhaps with the right guidance this could have been avoided.

@emmet Yes, they both were at the funeral....They weren't suspects then. Well, the police weren't suspecting them at that time....but friends and some family members were. The twins are just getting charged last week. I don't know if the cops were being nice enough to let them finish the last day of school or what. But everyone else was already talking about the twins being affiliated with the murder. A neighbor also said she saw an unfamiliar car speed away from the house that day...so we believe someone else is in on it too. I still don't understand WHY would ANYONE want to harm Nikki!

Tuff-tony It wasn't until a few years ago that I've been able to talk openly about my experience at age 32, 33 (I'll be 36 in October), I felt a lot of shame and reproach for a long time because when I did try to open up to friends, they would trivialize and negate my feelings and my experience. In this world mothers are seemingly automatically drafted into sainthood upon giving birth, whereas fathers are almost 'expected' to be lamos. No one second guesses you when you talk about how your daddy wasn't around but when you talk about a mother excuses get made for her ill conduct.
Nothing makes killing their mother okay. Point, blank, period. Regardless if they were raised by their grandmother or not. It's not okay. If I took my emotional, mental, whatever feelings out on people who have done me wrong in life, do you know how many people I could have killed?? But I'm not, because that is DISGRACEFUL! Murder is never the answer. They could have dealt with whatever it was in a different manner. For real. My heart goes out to that family, those twins included.

*** i feel lucky.Did none of yall have normal well rounded parents in your lives ??? My parents divorced when i was 5, but remained friends for my and my sisters entire lives. My perents made sure we had everything we needed, especially emotionally. For a black man, my father was very loving and affecionate with both of us, and i think it help our development greatly to have an example of a man like that.

Without knowing entirely what went on in their background, it's hard to make judgements against the mother or her Daughters. Clearly alot of damaged individuals here. These girls may have been raped or abused by someone, mother may have experienced the same. This is the end result of a series of events that culminated in the murder of their mother. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH SEEKING OUT COUNSELING!!! PEOPLE PLEASE BELIVEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS! tHERE IS NO WAY MOM SHOULD HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PARENT THESE GIRLS WITHOUT ALOT OF FAMILY THERAPY, AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY for each person involved. Clearly they have behavioral issues if the grandmother could not handle them after some time. Please believe me when I say, that there would be far more situations like this if parents werent compelled to seek help for children exhibiting violent, or extremely defiant behavior. These types of behaviors are only a manifestation of some traumatic event, or developmental issue. Don't ignore signs and write them off as a child just bad when they exhibit extreme behavioral problems. There is nothing wrong with trying to help your children by seeking counseling...children and teens with unresolved issues, become angry, depressed, impulsive, sexually primiscuous, adults....I'VE SEEN IT ALL...

My parents were MARRIED for 23 years until they came to this country. My father developed emotional problems, suffered extreme discrimination in this country and it affected our family. I went to my grandmother when I was 21 years old to get away from them and start over! Dysfunction can be on EVERY level when it comes to black families.

Both girls have denied killing their mother, Humphries said. A grand jury is expected to hear their case June 7.

The girls they was saying didnt like to be disciplined and wanted to do what they wanted. But everyone that kills someone else or do the things they do grow up in bad households. Who knows like you said they could have an illness that was never treated or they got caught up in the wrong crowd and went along that dark path.
