In the past, Fantasia has been surprisingly honest about dropping out of high school as a teen - and struggling with her ability to read and write.
Well Fanny finally overcame all that. MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY LEARNED that Fanny passed her GED exam. And that a local high school, High Point Academy in North Carolina, allowed her to WALK in her cap and gown to commemorate her accomplishment.

Yeah, Congrats on getting a GED@ur age. Good thing ur a celebrity & ppl will overlook the fact that you're dumb as hell regardless & your dumb *** should of BEEN getting an education instead of trying to be on American Idol. Congrat for sticking to it. But as an actual HS graduate I don't like you using the term. I went 2 hs and GRADUATED in 4 as in met all the requirements in 4 yrs. She received a GED bc she did not graduate from hs as in she took too dam long and bs/dropped or w/e. Still congrats cuz I know its hard but she CANNOT be lumped with those who did it right in the 1st place. GED does not equal HS diploma. U only get that if u successfully graduated.

Let me get this straight(pause), people are mad because it took her too long wth? Now I see why the education level for so many AA are low. Who cares how long it took her, the point is she finished despite how difficult it was.
And who said she wasn't going to attend college in the future? Since when is it too late for an education? I graduated from college last year, and there were several older white people getting their B.A. right along with me, I bet you no one told them they are too old and it was too late.

Good for you Fantasia. That shows character to stand up to what all the *** and wannabe something but bitter because they nothing people are going to say about you getting your education. You were blessed, are still blessed, and will remain blessed. You live a pretty *** good life. They hate cause God chose you and not them. Re: ransomed. It's not that I don't feel bad about what I posted. Still, nobody knows your personal story. All they know is that you're a statistic. Education should be a priority no matter your background. I'm not Fantasia's friend or family member. I don't know her life story. I don't care to make excuses for her. To me, she is just one person that society can hold up as an example of a person who failed to achieve academically. Meanwhile, we're all lumped together because we're black, even though we don't have the same values/record. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of stereotypes. That's all.
