@ Krow--she is still fit as ever. Chances are that's muscle. Unfortunately Hollywood wants people to think that skinny or slender is healthy. It depends on your percentage of fat (Which I'm sure is very low on her. The less fat you have on your abs the more you can see them. If you are really muscular they will purtrude, that's why many women are scared to lift weights because they don't want the bulk.
