NuMind that's great, I applaud you. You're doing what unfortunately a lot of AA women have no other choice but to do or send the child(ren) over to Grammas. But you cannot deny that a lot of AA men do not own up to the responsibility of parenting. Women need to discuss the issue of parenting before they walk down the aisle and be real with themselves and decide whether or not they want to or can put up with such behavior. I think whom ever wrote this article put a 100 on 10. I know for a fact magazines sometimes have a tendacy to make a bomb outta of the smallest things. lol I was talking to a sales person about how much material I needed and this woman (I think she was Russian) just barreled in to ask my salesperson a question. So the s.p answered her and apologized to me and I was nice at first, I said 'no problem' b/c I thought the woman was done. So the s.p is cutting some material for me and asking me questions about what else I needed & that woman comes over AGAIN, asking questions and then tried to coax my s.p to come over with her to assist her! So I just checked her real quick in a 'proper fashion' and basically told her she does not get preferential

Tuff, you know what's funny, I was talking to my friend and I mentioned to him that I wanted to open up my own textile warehouse and sell all kinds of fabrics to apparel companies (wholesale) and just regular customers b/c I sometimes don't like the way 'certain' people try to treat me when I roll up in their establishments. When I create items for my clients I put my heart into it and do for them as if I personally am wearing the garments myself, so I don't skimp on materials, patterns or my 'craftswomanship' lol
I know, I'm proud of myself, some time ago it would've gotten ugly. She got the message though and I didn't even have to raise my voice. I'm making 2 jewel trimmed tunics for my custie! My favorite part is adding the appliques (the jeweled trim accents). They look so pretty! And no one else has them! Tunics are cool b/c a woman can alternate btwn wearing it as a dress or wear leggings underneath. She can dress it up or down.
