Most of these "Spanish speaking countries" are inhabited by Black people because the Europeans brought them there from 1400s-1700s.
The slave trade occurred all over the world. Africans were dispersed everywhere, not just America.

My father is African American, and My mother is Puerto rican. I've always identified as Black though, most hispanics just annoy the *** out of me.
I see a lot of Dominicans denying they are Black. Dominicans are about 70 percent African, yet if you call them black they are ready to go into war with you.
Cubans are the same way, puerto ricans do it also but to a lesser extent. I have actually met a few Puerto ricans that were "socially conscious". They knew their history, and they knew about Famous African American revolutionist.

I noticed in the past they were some contestants who were representing a certain country and they werent from there. I wonder why. I looked up some info about Ms Universe. USA has the most wins, Venezuelas is 2nd, and Puerto Rico comes in 3rd with the most wins. Trinidad & tobago won in 1977 and 1998 and South Africa onlywon once in 1978. Sweden is in 4th place after Puerto Rico but Hey I think trump controls who wins. Domincan Republic only won once and Botswana once in 1999. Either way I love to watch it.

Reading up on it I found out that Indians from India not that Native American make up alot of the population right behind Africans in Jamaica and alot of the culture from India can be found there in Jamaica. I understand they liked to be referred to Jamaicans but they might be other people who might refer to them as something else. The way I found out the indo-jamaican thing is when I looked at an article & it said it so I clicked to see what it meant & thats how found out. I was like what!!! And the spaniards altho rich in culture too, they did alot of damage to alot of people. When it comes to slaves & stuff. They played a big part too. They even started their *** with england but Queen Elizabeth defeated them. They were brutal.
@ TheViva and Promiscuous Girl while I'm in no way condoning Slavery the slavery practiced in Africa was more like indentured servitude these "slaves" were usually captured in battles and then in time could either buy their freedom or marry into the captive tribe. It wasn't like the slavery practiced in the Americas or in the Islands which was based on race and the people were treated like chattel and not human beings

@ TheViva Cleopatra followed the ways of the Egyptians because her father did before he was killed in a coup. Ancient Egyptian paintings show her as an Egyptian and Greeks show her as purely white. Some ancient historians say she was ugly as hell but intelligent and others say she was beautiful and intelligent. I guess they'll have to find her body for us to know the truth

They had shown a coin with her face on it and it showed an "unattractive cleopatra" but I was thinking also maybe what they found attractive then, we might not find attractive today. People back then probably had different views of what beauty is. U never know we couldve thought she was *** ugly if we really saw what she looked like, but to them she was beautiful. Look at what we are doing Brown bagging each other. If you state that black is beautiful than why are Belittling another black country with pejorative connotations like "Haiti's not choosing people who do look like them" or "Haiti has the darkest blacks…trust" these are some of the most ignorant statements made towards another black country and we wonder why we as a black race cannot rise above the level negative stigmatization that are placed on us because we argue about our own skin and beauty more than any race.
As far as Haitians, you only spew what you read and see on TV…I been to Haiti and they are a beautiful and proud people. The census that you see on the internet is totally inaccurate . Because most of the people in the country do not do the census so they take the majority of the census is based on Port-Au-Prince city demographics, so the census is only accurate in Port-Au-Prince. I have been to other parts of Haiti where the media does not film or take you, like the City of Saint Marc, Petion-ville, Labadie, and chans-mars Where I have seen some of the most beautiful people there and a large mixed crowd of mulattoes, Middle-eastern Descendant, and white Haitians. I have seen several Blue-eyed, Green-eyed, gray-eyed Haitians (mostly dark-skinned and mulattoes). It was very Exotic but very beautiful and eye-pleasing. Not many people in the world know about these places because they do not go to these places….they only no Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. As a matter of fact I have seen several homeless whit people in Haiti….several in Port-Au-Prince and many in the outskirts of the land.
