: MediaTakeOut.com learned that writer/actor/directr Tyler Perry is the new owner of Dean Gardens, a 58-acre estate on Old Alabama Road in Johns Creek, outside of Atlanta.
According to reports, Tyler paid $7.6 million for the property that was completed in late July. The home is more than 30,000 square feet and one of it's features is a GOLD LEAF DOME. Spectlation is that Tyler plans to COMPLETELY DEMOLISH the home, and build his own - from SCRATCH!!
He Tyler, if you need help GETTING RID OF THAT DOME . . . holla at us . . .
I am really proud of him to come from being a homeless person to a strong independent successful black man. However, he needs to start giving back to the community and instead of having a garage for 40 global warming-invoking cars, he should invest and help his community and offer something to the black community that will be beneficiary in the end. But go Tyler! You deserve it! -_- Dont forget what I said though!
I see people that bought his DVD's, plays, movies etc hooked him up with a nice home. Congrats.
My friend that is an actor in the industry told me that Tyler recently sold out. He is now apart of that mess that illuminatti(sp) so I will no longer support his foolishness as of this point. I think I paid him enough money and from the looks of it he will be set for life if he plays his cards right but his fruity booty bandit self will not get any further support from me. And for those of you that think he is not ***...please WAKE THE H.E.L.L. up.

It is nice if it were a museum. To be honest, I don't know what I would do with so much house. It is kinda scary for one person to be living like that. Or maybe his boyfriends come over and chase each other through the house.

Just because he can get a McMansion doesn't mean he should, especially in since it's only him living in it and the economy is the worst it's been since the great depression. he should have just gotten a mid sized home or a spacious loft and invested or saved the rest of his money.

Atlanta is so cheap .. 7.6 for all of that??? I've been to Atlanta and the home prices there compared to here in Canada .. it's very cheap.
There is no need for all of that space though .. if I was a celebrity there is NO way I'd be buying such a big house. I would be wayyyy too scared + I would never need 30,000 sq ft of space. Ridiculous.
Tyler has the right to make his own choices. Don't understand why you would want to tear a place down like that....let alone own it unless you are going to flip it in a couple of years. The maintenance on this type homes can suck you dry. Ask your cross town neighbor Holyfield. I sure hope that Tyler balances the debt/equity he uses to maintain his investments. It can easily get out of wack if you do forecast and prepare your financial strategy to maintain your lifestyle for the longrun.
Another thing about homes in Georgia. The building standards are not the best. For example, Holyfield had to get his mansion rewired because they put a second rate electrical system (which should have been caught during the inspection process). Building codes and compliance is substandard in Atlanta housing market. It was only a few years ago that builders were required to have license. Atlanta homes are good for having fabricated, synthetic and simply cheap materials. Atlanta homes have an ostentatious look but many are low quality.

Another successful black man who want corroborate with other extremely wealthy black folk to form a conglomerate that will provide real jobs for black folk. This home is called Dean Gardens, orignally it was listed at 30 million dollars so him getting it for 7.6 million is beyond a great deal. Unfortunately he plans to tear down this home that has been a staple in Alpharetta/Johns Creek since before I moved to the area 10 years ago. I for one will definitely be sad to no longer be able to see it driving home.

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but this house was not just completed in July. Geez MTO try getting your facts straight sometimes. This is the same house that Toni Braxton wanted to purchase but couldn't afford. And to make matters even worse, MTO has a photo of the house posted up that is dated from 2008.
