As a culture of people, I see we are still dealing in comments about 'hair'. Good hair, bad hair - what is wrong with us? White people have messed us up so badly with their idea of beauty, we are still tripping. I don't have a problem with the little girl's hair, but as a mother, a child her age would 'not' be wearing her hair in 'that' particular style. Personally, I think the style is too 'grownup'.
