: MediaTakeOut.com just received some very SAD news. R&B singer Mario was arrested, and charged with ASSAULTING his mother.
Here's how our peeps over at TMZ are reporting it:
Mario's mother Shawntia Hardaway -- a former heroin addict -- told cops the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant had been "throwing and damaging property" ... and pushed her around with his hands and forearms.Now before we all judge. Remember - Mario's mom was a HEROIN ADDICT . . . so she may be cooking this whole story up. . .Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment -- including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.
Mario's mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week -- in which he pushed her "eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall."
I knew a kid who had to deal with his mother on crack. She stole from him, brought all sorts of strange men to the house, she would pawn/sell his clothes and jewelry and she mentally and physically abused him ever since we could remember. He joined the miltary to get away from her and he did okay for himself except he has issues with anger and rage, he can't maintain healthy or respectable relationships in his life with women and he has a serious drinking problem. Men don't handle bad mother issues very well. I'm praying for Mario and others who are in that situation, it's a lonely painful road.
When they become a junkie their not ur mother no more because they will steal ur s@it for the dope. I seen it all before trust me. Until they get clean that's when u can except them back into ur lives. Other than that the only love they got is for the dopeman. Put nothing pass no junkie especially a heroin addict.
Exactly Being_Me....It has been obvious for a while that Mario while still deeply loving, and showing concern for his mother, has carried years of resentment, hurt, and shame toward her for not being there for him like she should've.Every interview where he talk about her, you can almost taste it.. so sad, smh!!
Its only so much that you can take from an addict. This woman has put this boy through hell and back. I saw that MTV ***. She has turned her back on this kid for years putting her drugs before him. He has taken care of her financially for years and she calls the cops on him. He probably snapped. His mother was actually bringing drugs into the house *** up in the bathroom in his house. She is no kind of mother. I am starting to wonder if she back on that stuff and he had enough. Everyone reaches their breaking point. I would have tossed her *** a long time ago, mother or not.
MARIO HAS STRUGGLED WITH HIS MOM BEING A USER HIS ENTIRE LIFE AND ALL SHE HAS DONE IS STEAL FROM HIM AND SELL THINGS OUT OF HIS HOUSE AND PAWN THEM OFF TO PPL AND HE HAS TO TRACK THE PPL DOWN IN THE STREET TO GET THINGS BACK.. THIS STILL DOESN'T JUSTIFY HIM PUTTING HANDS ON HER BUT SHE REALLY HAS A SERIOUS SERIOUS DRUG ADDICTION AND SHE DOESN'T WANT HELP JUST A HAND OUT!

So WAS a heroine addict...emphasis on the "past tense". And since when does somebody's mistakes in the past give their child a right to beat their *** in the future? I don't care about Mario....men who beat up women are punks, plain and simple. That's like grown folk who beat up on children. It's never an even fight.
Iono know the whole story but I can say that regardless, you don't hit your mom.. that's just *** up.. it makes men look soooo unattractive when they hit women, & we *** hit them either.. & i'm guessing that somewhere breezy is relieved that this negative attention has gravitated towards somebody else
IF THIS STORY IS TRUE, 1ST OF ALL, MARIO SHOULD NEVER HAVE PUT HIS HANDS ON HIS MOTHER, HOWEVER IF SHE IS UNABLE TO GET THE DRUGS OUT OF HER LIFE, THEN MARIO NEEDS TO ADMINSTER TOUGH LOVE (THE HANDS OFF KIND). GO ON WITH YOUR LIFE WITH OUT HER UNTIL, IF AND WHEN YOU ARE SURE SHE CAN COPE WITHOUT GETTING HIGH! HER PROBLEM IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM!
i have never heard of mario being violent before, so before we judge they need our prayers, not our criticism. its hard living with an addict, mother or not, and unless u have walked in those shoes, u *** judge. they both need help, she needs NA and he need Alanon to learn how to deal with his mother and her addiction.
There is always three sides to a story, his, hers and the Truth! The fact of the matter is that I refuse to base any judgement on this story until the truth really comes out. His mother has been addicted to heroin all of his life -- he is supporting her, he has paid for her stay at rehab, to add insult-to-injury SHE LIVES WITH HIM!!! None of know what caused it. Does it make it right that he hits his mom, no! WE all have breaking points, though. I'm not in his situation, haven't been there THANK GOD, but I will not cast any judgement, but instead pray for him. Mario you have to let go.

I saw an interview/segment years ago and they didnt really exhibit an Mother child relationship...if he the kind of piece of sh*t that would hit a woman, he certainly wouldnt have a problem putting his hands on a Woman that he never respected as the Woman who gave him life.
@natashanobody what you dont know is that if a woman snap and kill a man and the police check his records and he got domestic violence charges....then that woman walks. i saw the *** happen. i went to a funeral of a dude that beat women. the last woman he beat killed him and when they ran his record he had 5 domestic violence charges and that woman walked off free. so while you sitting around talking *** maybe you need to watch what the *** you say. all women dont take that *** they go get a gun and *** that man or get a knife and stab him. youre going to get somebody killed...

Mario,i have not used no alcholo or no drugs since 5/28/2002 now 10/1/2010 sober and clean..i wish you self evaluate what your doing mario before your childhood adult rage cause you to hurt your mother,there is no way possible you can justify beating your mom..please find another way to vent your silent anger and unspoken Rage with your mother drug addiction cause no verbal abuse,beatings,nor negative criticism can not change her,she has to be emotional,psychological and spiritual ready to know she at her bottom to give up the addiction..sincerely john jr
Mario all you freinds,love ones & fans from Baltimore, Md got your back we all know how your mother been getting down for years on the streets of east baltimore you helped her out and if it wasint for you and your sucsess she wouldint have nothing her knowing you not supporting her drug habbit is the problem thats why she wanna put you through all this ***.
Mario grew up with his grandmother because his mother was a full blown addict. He is only 24-years-old and he has been taking care of his mother since he was a teenager because her 20+ year addiction has her by the ***. In his special his mother is *** driving around looking for a hit while living with her boyfriend in her 21-year-old SON'S house. Not to mention that he has been taking care of younger siblings because his mother has always been a hot drug-addicted mess. Not condoning his actions, but I probably would have whooped that *** myself, I promise you.
