There are a lot of Black Women who date/marry interracial but there are more than double of that for Black Men who date/marry interracial. In the Black community in terms of interracial dating an estimated 70% is the Black man and 30% black women. There is not much of an "uproar" for 2 reasons. The first being that this type of union is not "threatening" to the Black community because its not as common. The second reason is that the Black mate is not a "main-stream" person or a person of particular relevance in the Black Community.

I was born in Colombia. And both my parents are of African descent. My skin is tan brown and I look like any other Black Female in America. I do love rice and I love chicken even more. And I wasnt saying the Black man has no relevance in his community. As "Black" people in America we are all predominately mixed due to slavery and the slave-trade. Whether our skin is black, brown, tan, red, or yellow. We are all a blend/mix of the cultures that raped us(Spanish, Portuguese, French) and the cultures that embraced us(Native American). I agree with you about the racial genocide of Brazil. There was a time when Afro-Brazilians made up more than half of Brazil. And when I say "Afro-Brazilian" I mean first generation Africans who where shipped directly from Africa. Now Whites are the majority. In Brazil the minorities are the blacks and Pardos(Browns). Not all "Black" people are dark skin in complexion. Majority of Blacks are "mixed-race" from our ancestors and their history. Shes Black in my eyes. Since when is Brown skin and wooly hair not Black? "MIXED" is not a race. there are only 3 races: Negroids, Caucasoid, and the Mongoloid. And then we have the sub-types which divide these races that are called "ethnicity". After this we have nationalities which define where we where born.

Ive NEVER called my Black men sell-outs but I cant help but question why he would choose another woman not of his own race or ethnicity. I know its wrong but I cant deny the feeling that comes from within me. We dont use the term "mulatoo" in this day in age. But we do use "mixed" to describe a person who "looks" like they have traits or characteristics from either races. whether it be their skin-tone, hair texture, eye color, facial feature etc.. We don't have to necessarily know whether or not the person is mixed. we assume.(lol) But some mixed children can be born looking predominately black or white. whatever the parents of the offspring.

There is more self-hate and colrism in the Dominican community and the Puerto Rican community than any where else. We try to associate with the larger Latino community but they have never accepted us as equals and so we worship the lighter skin. I guess so maybe becuase I'm not born here. But this issue is UNIVERSAL. In my homeland city of Bogota, Colombia there was a Black women who won the "Mejor Calle del Valle" and this is like an annual festival contest for who has the best "***(culo)" of the city. Its like the equivalent to the American wet t-*** contest. A lot of racism occurred we she won. But it was ignored as if it didn't occur. Now that I'm in America I'm happy that I can reflect and debate the issues in Black Communities. it excites me. =)

I've already explained my reasons for this statement. and i agree a lot of ugly women complain and object the "standard of beauty". I'm a copper color like (Pocahontas) for instance.(lol) Anyway my skin would obviously be more darker than a White persons.
