We reside in a White-mans world where we all were and continue to be conditioned into thinking features that closet resemble that of a Whites phenotype (light-skin, long hair, straight hair, color eyes, etc...) or should I say furthest away from a Blacks phenotype (dark-skin, *** hair, frizzy/kinky hair, broad/flat noses, etc...) is more presentable or acceptable in society. So those who closest resemble Whites “aesthetically” are better represented, promoted and advertised in the main-stream media. We don’t have a larger range of Blacks being represented or promoted in this society. Let alone in a positive way. Black woman are often depicted in the media as obnoxious, ignorant, uneducated etc... So of course people are "conditioned" into believing this to be true and as an result deter or exclude Black woman as options when it comes to dating and/or marrying. Black men, especially those who become successful and circulate in the main-stream media. Not all, however when a majority of Black athletes, entertainers and/or actors gain any type of success, it would be to his advantage to date/marry a white,mixed, or just non-black woman in general as leverage for his "image". Interracial dating/marriages garner more main-stream exposure.(Kim Kardashian/Reggie Bush, Seal/Heidi Klum etc...) Collectively in America the ideal beauty is a White woman's "aesthetics" (light-skin, long hair, straight/relaxed hair, etc..) with a Black woman's "proportions"(full breast, large/ample bottom etc...)
