Rant Con'td... I 100% know that being neither Darker, nor Lighter (skin color) makes you any better than the other. It almost seems like we are hypocrits. Back before Civil Rights, we were adamant about exposing the hardships that we as blacks had to go through because of the color of our skin. But here it is in the year of effing 2010 and we, are doing the exact same thing that ignorant white people from the 30's and so on did. We are just as judgemental, racist, prejudice, whatever, within our own race as others are.

It is such a shame to know that our own people are ruining the self-esteem of other black people because of their disrespectful and quite frankly, 'IGNANT' remarks on "whose better than who"trend. Seriously?! If you really think that, then you are beyond stupidity and ignorance. It's not a matter of personal preference, it's a matter of respect and dignity that we should have for each other as black people.
Rant 3... So what if I'm darkskinned, or light skinned, or brown skinned! My black is beautiful! And that is what makes us so unique. Our pride in our own culture is what is so beautiful. Some of you are sending a negative message of what beauty truly is, and little black girls are starting to think that they aren't good enough because of the color of their skin. Sound Familiar? The worse part of it all, other races aren't telling these little girls this, it's us! We are who we are. We cannot change it, but we CAN embrace it! It is our duty as blacks to uplift one another, b/c who else will?
