it certainly depends on whose braiding your hair. Get someone who aint braiding your scalp too and you should be fine. And seriously MTO, sometimes you gotta wonder where yall get these stories from. IE>> someone sent yall a pic of a tenhead, yall make up a story about how braids pull your hair out.
***! her hairline starts behind her ears! man hold up! thats to chilly for hotsauce! braids nor sew in does this. she aint been taken care of her hair i do my own sew ins edges out!!! conditon, conditon, conditon for as long as u can stand it as often as u can. invest in a good on pantene is *** good. w/ braids my braider ( who is EXCELLENT , worth every cent) knows to NOT braid my edges too thin, keep some my edges greased and tyed down. and u wont b lookin like sherman hemsley! i kno my hair is thick, healthy and a decent length and ive been wearin weaves for years
Im a former microbraid wearer...(about to loc my hair in a few months) i've worn them for years and i normally take them out and put them riiight back in....and my edges do not look like that...smh, i have natural hair but even when i wore perms it still didnt look like that...smh, i guess it depends on the person and who you let do your hair
I am in a interracial marriage and I have been told time and time again by black women in general to braid my childs beautiful natural curly hair. When I gave in I began to notice a lot of bald spots within 6 months. Upon discovery, I immediately removed her braids and asked them if they would show me their natural look under their weaves/wigs and they refused. That is highly suspect if you ask me!
@asianeyedone, i am african american and a hair stylist, my daughter also has curly hair and I braid it but not tight and I don t add fake hair and not often, her best friend is japanese and black and I braided her hair also the same way and she had no breakage. Those people grip their hair too tight and I only braid their hair for special things like camp for example.
