I don't find anything he said strange or newsworthy for that matter. Organized religion is a form of social control. PERIOD. I don't care what faith you’re in. If your religion does not encourage critical and logical ways of thinking...imHo that's a red flag. I was raised in the church and to this day there is no way I can completely accept Christian doctrine (I can only speak on what I have personally studied but I have a hunch it will be a similar outcome when I get to other religions) while absolutely thinking rationally, critically or logically. Not to say great things aren't implied and encouraged through these Doctrines but come on.
