I am a black woman and years ago when I moved to Lansing, MI I went to a money ballers party held by a bunch of MSU athlete alumni who had supposedly gone pro or semi pro. I had gone to several events prior to this, all of which were attended by a predominantly black crowd, so I was shocked to walk in and see soooo many non-black women, i.e. white and asians. On top of that, a co-worker and myself were sitting at a table just people watching and acting they way we were raised, (which is you don't look for a man, let them find you) when out of the blue this white girl walked up to one of the players and handed him a drink. So yeah white girls would like for you to believe that these athletes are sweating them when in a lot of cases it's the other way around and black men unfortunately don't have any discretion. That's what really sad to me, most other races of men aren't going to be quick to date outside of their race, no matter how nice or attractive they think other women are. @bdm you don't have a clue. First off, I have a bachelors in accounting, CPA license and no kids. Also I have plenty of other black female friends who are educated, married, and keep their homes very well, thank you. I have dated plenty of black men who are secure enough within themselves to not want a woman who was going to let them walk all over them and disrespect them. If that's what most black men are looking for, then they can stay with Becky, Mindy, whoever. My thing is as an informed black woman who cares about her community, which is the only reason I post on here, is I'm aware that black families were broken from the time we were brought to this country and not only has it progressively gotten worst, resentment between black men and women has constantly built as a result of it and unfortunately no one is being educated so it has just become a negative cycle. So let me enlighten you, number one, because a lot of black men are not and have not taken care of there responsibilities of raising there kids, you do have black women teaching their daughters to be more independent and not rely on a man, but unfortunately because no father is in the home to teach their sons to be responsible and take care of home, you have boys growing up looking for a woman to hold him down like momma did, while the girl grows up sayn that's not my role you are a grown man, you should be taking care of yourself. Now the woman is bitter and so is the guy, so what does he do, as soon as he does make a little bit of money, out of resentment, he's running to the other side... that's just a little history. So yes, black fathers need to really step up and be a father to their sons and daughters, so that girls can grow up feeling like they can rely on men, and mothers if single need to teach their son's to be just as responsible as their daughters so when they grow up and start to date there isn't constantly this conflict as a result of mixed teachings. But let's make one thing clear, it's sad and pathetic when black men constantly degrade and negatively stereotype all black women, while putting white women on a pedestal. There are plenty of white women who are nasty and plenty of black women who are clean.
