: The recession is hitting EVERYONE . . . even top selling pop artists. According to our pals at Radar Online, one of the plots of land that makes up Prince's house is getting foreclosed.
Here's what they're saying:
The large plot in Chanhassen, Minnesota, has gone into foreclosure because the famous performer (real name Prince Roger Nelson) has fallen some $368,000 behind in [Prince - who is from The Land Of Ten Thousand Lakes - is currently doing a marathon 21 consecutive show tour at The Forum in Los Angeles.
But despite claims from his management that the debt has now been settled, when RadarOnline contacted Carver County Sheriff’s Department a spokesperson from the Civil Processor’s Department revealed that the land was still set for auction on May 13.
Recent aerial images of the land show little more than a tennis court and a small building near the main driveway entrance [to his home].
U mean he ain't got 368 large...wassup wit that...U been working like a slave all these years...and U ain't got no money man ? I don't believe the hype about celebs and their money...them muhfukkas be up to their eyeballs in debt...people on this muhfukkin board prolly got more money in their accounts than these celebrity wankstas...they always flossin' and as it turns out when the tax man cometh...they ain't got shyt...cause if they really had shyt they wouldn't be out bragging about it...truss...I don't believe those bullshyt photos, they themselves release to the press of them vacationing, shopping, and what not...they living hand to mouth the majority of them...and this also includes those two fake ballin' celebraties "camel face" and "haute breath" (as Nas so eloquently stated in his baby mamas book)...
Oh nooka plz. This is prolly a buncha useless land that he been tryna get out of so he just let it go. Who cares about effin up ur credit when ur Prince. Minnesota. Prolly brought this for a jumpoff n the bitch wouldnt leave so he let it go down on her. He is far from broke there is more to this story.
Geez, MTO, why don't you do some research before posting stuff?
This is OLD info and the bill has already been paid. He's donated $2 million to charity this year alone, he's not hurting for money, he just lets crap go until the last minute.
This debt was paid off over a week ago. Prince had the house on the land demolished in 2005. Then he moved into a over $70.000 a month mansion in LA rented from Carlos Boozer. Does that sound like a man that don't have over $300.000 to give? Hell no.
Plus he is ranking in millions from his current tour.
He might just be looking to shortsale..The market went down and that would be the smart move..Educate yourselves to some real money tactics..

Prince broke???? thats a joke...the nigga lives very modest. He could pull 350k out of his butt...i dont believe this article.
I could see how he might be really frugal and not wanna pay it...thats the more likely scenario. I mean he has no kids or nothing like that and he comes out with hit albums once every few years: id be interested in knowing what his networth is though...hes living the dream.
MTO, yall sound pathetic, and if anyone thinks Prince Rogers Nelson is broke needs to jump in the lake with MTO, Prince has looooong money, has been selling out stadiums since most of you were still itching in your daddies pants, but then again, with what you all call talent today, I guess most of you would think he is broke, huh?
LOL...so he joins the ranks of millions of other people ("common" and celebs) w/houses in foreclosure. MTO is stupid...foreclosure doesn't mean broke, could mean he wanted to negotiate and the lender didn't so he let it go.
LOL @Proverbial Hater - that used to be my screen name on another blog site (PessimisticOptimist). too true, I like your quote better!
Prince is a smart man. It is not his home in foreclosure but land surrounding his home. He will let it go into foreclosure then turn around and buy it back at auction for less than half of what he owes...very smart man.
1st-Prince can never be broke. He owns his his entire collection and gets
royalties from places and music you have no idea he has produced and composed for.
2nd-That is one of princes' many homes and as most of you know, it's better to let
it get forclosed than to save it and sell if for far less than it's worth. Why pay
368K for house that you won't be able to sell? It's a money pit. Let it go.
Why dont you fools take a business management class while you're not doing sh-t
besides reading bullsht articles like this?
This story is old!!! It was in foreclosure and the deadline for him to pay his owing balance was last week. I live in Minnesota and this was in the paper. Here's the link: http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/music/120478049.html
