: MediaTakeOut.com just got word that the FRONT-RUNER for this years Miss USA pageant - a sista - got BUSTED for stealing identities.
Here's how the NY Daily News is reporting it:
Shaletta Porterfield, who was set to appear as Miss Wisconsin USA, resigned from the beauty contest on Friday after being charged with three counts of stealing someone's identity for financial gain.The Madison beauty told investigators she had forged signatures of business owners on advertising contracts while working for a marketing company last year, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
But business owners got wind of the scheme when the marketing company asked them to proof some ads they hadn't agreed to buy.
Robert Nagel, Porterfield's lawyer, said the beauty queen hatched the bogus plot because she was under a lot of pressure from the company to hit her commission goals.
"It's unfortunate, but she has a lot going for her, and she's ready to move on," Nagel told the paper.
Nagel said Porterfield will probably resolve the charges with an agreement that would allow her to pay fines or fulfill other requirements in order to avoid prosecution.
@ItAintMyFault....Black people aren't the only ones who steal identities & money. Black people get a bad wrap for EVERYTHING & I'm tired of it...Bernie Madoff is one prime example. What, he gets a pass cause he stole billions, so that makes him some elaborate mastermind...Other races commit fraudulent crimes also whether it's credit cards, insurance, ponzi schemes, stealing from banks, jewelry stores, auction houses, etc. But I guess because they go for "big ticket" type items, it makes them better & not financially desperate huh. They do little petty crimes too, she was probably just trying to save her job, even tho she was gonna benefit from the commission too & it's not right, but some others are just down right greedy & always scheming too, just on another level because they are "trusted" & have more access to certain things.
