: The show Basketball Wives is only HALF-WAY interesting. We like seeing the DRAMA (especially the FIGHTS), but we don't really ENVY any of the ladies lifestyles. They are all either JUMPOFFS, BABYS MOTHERS, or jilted EX-WIVES.
But the newest baller wife, Meeka Claxton is actually married to a former NBA player. Finally, someone living the kind of life that we can ASPIRE TO HAVE!!!!
Can't wait for the new season, cause I just seen a clip on The Wendy Williams Show & Evelyn (who I love to hate, but she's probably the reason I watch the show) gets into a fight with Ross (think that's her name)....I hope this new chick "brings it"....The messiness makes for good T.V., if people don't like the theme of the show, turn the channel, cause there are so many channels on cable/satellite t.v. u can choose from.
What is so unattractive about her (except that horse hair)? You can barely see her! men are quick to call a woman a groupie just because she wants to date a ball player. why? Basketball players cheat, but so do men who work on garbage trucks. If you have to deal with the same issues in each tax bracket, why not choose the higher one? i have dated men on all levels, and the male college grad who thinks he can have as many women as he wants just because he's a lawyer with a degree is no different from a ball player with endorsements. Most guys have the same mentality "I can have as many wome as i want as long as i'm paying" So...kudos to the women who benefit. in my opinion

And yes, she may be married, but she's married to a former basketball player. The NBA doesn't allow current players to be on a show like that.

I aspire to live like ANY of the BBW who are mentally and spiritually whole. They are well-educated, well-financed, got a hit TV show, etc. Marriage is not a barometer of happiness for me.

@ppatton EXACTLY! Alot women have forgotten their worth, and men take advantage of that by insulting women who havent. I come from the same traditional background. some say she's a real estate agent, so maybe she does have a career. she could be taking care of his accounts, etc. we dont know what she does. millionaires dont have to marry millionaires. she doesnt have to have a career just so people can say "oh ok...it's cool for her to marry him". Some women have degrees and still decide to be housewives. What woman wouldn't want to spend more time @ home if she could financially?
