: MediaTaeOut.com learned that on Saturday morning, two woman plunged 10 stories out of a window at the W Hotel in midtown Atlanta after a round of 'play fighting,' according to police.
LaShawna Threatt, an aspiring model was celebrating her 30th birthday at the posh hotel when the incident occurred. She was killed as a result of the fall.
Ciara Williams, the other woman involved in the 'play fighting,' also fell, but rolled off a ledge and then fell the remaining 20 feet onto the patio below. She remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta Police Department spokesperson Carlos Campos told the press.
Witnesses reported seeing the women crash through the window at about 3:15 a.m.
About 20 friends had gathered together to celebrate Threatt's birthday, first meeting at an Atlantic Station restaurant. They then headed over to the hotel where Threatt had a rooftop party.
Atlanta Police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said It appears there was no malicious act, no foul play, they were just wrestling with each other, they hit the window, the window broke, and they fell out.
Threatt worked as a model doing party promotions for beverage companies.Williams is a background urban dancer, who also owns her own marketing company, Passionate Chonvill told AJC.

Are the Atlanta Police Keystone cops?? They *** be saying only hours later that "it appears there was no malicious act, no foul play." It is WAY too soon for them to make that conclusion; the investigation is just starting! The cops' version of events doesn't sound credible at all. Hotel windows don't break easily because they don't want people committing suicide. (That's why hotel windows don't open.) Also, what 30-year-old woman playfights? Who else was in the room? Someone wanted them dead or cops were involved. Maybe the cops were called because the party got loud & a scuffle ensued.
Mediatakeout you guys really need to stop! She was not thrown out of the window by her friend. They both were play fighting and hit the window and they both fell at the same time. If your going to put out a story don't turn the story around. This was very tragic and my heart and prayers goes out to both of the women families.

RIP, but I don't believe the horse playing bit, not even for one second. That was someone willing to injure or kill themselves in order to kill someone else. I guess the news continues to play on people's stupidity and low-functioning mental capacities, because we have such a large number of people who would rather believe what someone else says versus doing something so tedious such as thinking with your own brain instead of another person's. It is an unfortunate, tragic situation, but horseplay? Ain't that much "horseplay" in the world!
Well to all those assuming it was a dark skinned women. They were actually both very very light skinned, the exact same color.
I don't believe this story. Those hotel windows are pretty thick. My guess is they really were fighting and it got out of hand. I don't know I wasn't there but I know how dangerous alcohol can be.

@ Sexy Im not sure if I believe that 30 yr old women dont wrestle. My mom STILL wrestles me down when she sees me and she's 61. It's her personality. But, her friends report that Wrestling and Tickling is something LaShawna always did. But, regardless of if it was playing or a "real" fight. I just do not believe that Ciara would just toss her out a window and go out with her, risking her own life. I think they probably had too much to drink, got carried away with whatever they were doing and plunged through the window because they were too close to it. All this "suspiciousness" isnt for me.

(which my brother is Chief) of he can tell you himself. The windows are thin, so that they can be broken in case of a fire. ALSO, when you put 250lbs (their total weight) on a window that is already thin, and with the force in which they did (they obviously were not leaning on the window, they were "fighting" so there was force) then yes, they would break a thin window and fall through...FACT not OPINION.
