Yes, a lot of American adults have let themselves go, but that doesn't excuse the weight of a young woman. If you're obese before thirty, you're a failure.
So many young, black girls grow up with conflicting self image issues that it's sad. On one hand, majority of society says you should be thin, while your own race suggests that youre unacceptable if you can't balance a cup on your rear. Luckily for me I was raised in a household where normal bmis were praised and I never felt the need to bulk up. My mother told me to take a long look at people who say a young woman in her correct range is to skinny. I did and realized they weren't much to impress or to look at.
BTW I totally agree with the comments regarding "fat & thick" No one wants to walk around with all that weight...Im happy to be tall and lean with my curves
Cassie's weight looks nice on her but not everyone will look good thin and not everyone will be thin...Just be healthy people whatever size you are

I'm a 24 yr old black woman w/o kids who is and always has been slim. I have curves, and I consider myself to be quite attractive, yet I'm so tired of ppl telling me I look good or have a nice shape for s skinny girl. Wtf does that mean? According to my BMI I am the perfect weight for my 5'2" frame. I'm tired of blk ppl telling me to gain weight, although they need to lose about 20 lbs. I love my slim frame, & in 10 yrs my body will still look amazing after children. This is why I want to date outside my race.
She's been a so called "model" for years and she has yet to be in Vogue, Elle, or WWD or walk the cat walk for the likes of McQueen, Balenciaga, Chanel, Givenchy, Gaultier or any other top designer for that matter. When she does then I can coin this chick a model. Now Chanel Iman she is a model. This girl is Diddy's play thing. I could just imagine the nasty ish he probably makes her do. She would be better off taking his money and getting an education. Get a law degree, or a business degree hell any degree would be better then being a washed up singer, and video girl. MTO the reason why models are skinny and tall is because clothes look better on that body type than on a thick girl.
