Hell, last time I checked, her first week sales are some of this years highest with Gaga and Taylor Swift, so stop hating on her. The nb album WILL go platnium :) and not like I believe this story, but that *** is pocket change for Bey. That money is nothing since her and Jay-Z are one of the top power couples, dummy!
Well, she's only had 1 week of sales. It's the 3rd highest debut of the year in the US and worldwide. Beyonce didn't even need a massive hit to accomplish that. Yeah, the album is a critic's fave, fans and celebrities talking about what a great album is. I applaud Beyonce because she made a R&B album with some pop influences. She didn't do the standard electro dance music everybody else is doing.
Many of you have some great comments here. It sounds as though there was thought and some actual foundational knowledge about the business of music. We have to also point out that what the 'critics' claim, in actuality has no basis if the people do not purchase the material. Times are hard, and Bay is getting closer and closer into the category where the record-buyers are not buying. The album might be good, but she's worn herself out 'on the road'. She is getting older and heavier. Like the divas of old - she's slowing down and can't keep this pace. It's natural. It's inevitable. It happens.

To pick up where others have left off (album is #1 in 14 countries around the world) last time i checked that was a success by all accounts. AT th end of the day for those who appreciate music, this is a different type of Beyonce album and to say it sucks really deserves one having their head examined and i'm not even a huge Beyonce fan, but i know exceptional music when i hear it. One person said it best on a blog i won't mention, "People are hating her because there aren't enough booty shaken songs so they are ***"

....I am amazed at how many of you believe $200,000 to be a fortune. People, we are talking about 200 thousand untaxed dollars. When the FED takes its ***-cut 28%-30%, and expenses payments are made, such as staff bellow line wages, manager 15%, agent 10% net percentages---- $200.000 turns into (if lucky) $80.000 take home capital gains.

I heard the album and it's not terrible....it's just ahead of it's time. The beats change up so frequently and the tempo changes too much. I guess that she is gonna have to be the one to usher this new style of singing/rapping/chanting/poetry? in and hold on to it a little while longer until it catches on.
This is fake. I just read that entire contract, and lawyers don't tolerate misspellings on a "SPELLED OUT" contract. That part after naming the songs, "...1+1, Producer shall also receive a fee (nonrecouable)". Non recouable is not a word. It is recoupable. FAKE *** no one caught it, and if this is real, his and her lawyers better take care of that.
