Slaves were transported face up. Im pretty into history, even taking a course in school, and i can tell you its not from slavery. Someone just decided to link the two for god knows what reason. @caramel20, planking is slave derived. somebody thought it would be funny to imitate how we were arranged on the boats..boats which originated 'overseas', with 'overseas' crews. See the wiki article for 'Brookes' (ship), and ask why the English students would claim to originate it as just a fun gag, and THEN a decade later recreate the picture using the same 'fun gag' only to make a harsh point?
