The STREETS, however, downloaded the album hella quick though. And this is what THE STREETS are saying about the album.
First off, people are saying the album is, on a whole, UNDERWHELMING. In almost every verse, it seems like Kanye is TRYING TOO HARD to say something clever. And Jigga just comes off as WASHED UP - kickin the same ISH he been saying for the last 10 years.
The STREETS aren't saying the album is AWFUL, just that it is NOT GOOD - especially given that it is SUPPOSED to have the two best artists in the game.
Oh, the streets say that there is ONE POSSIBLE HIT on it, LIFT OFF, with Beyonce.

The album is called "Watch the Throne" because Kanye and "Hov" (*** for Jehovah) consider themselves to be Gods worthy of Idol worship. As we all know....we worship musicians just like the public worshipped egyptian dieties, that is why the music industry targets musicians to join their diabolical cause....

Is that would the "streets" are sayin'... at the hair salon or the like. That's a blanket statement in the best case scenario, it's especially hilarious though when YOU guys make it. The album might not be a "best ever" joint but i'll bet you it's better than 98.5% of the gaaa-bage out right now.

Jay... you aint God. There's no throne. And even if there was, the only way to get it these days is to purchase the most advertising and have the best stylist and PR manager. It has NOTHING to do with talent. Period.
I got it.. and the dust is already forming on it...not my type of flavor. I don't give a rat's azz what the streets think about nothing...If 1000 people say they love the CD...and say it's the next best thing since slice bread and I hear it and it sux...then *** it it still sux!! The album is a dud, and if it sells 4 trillion copies then good for Jay and Ye. I think somebody else should have done some of those tracks because if the beats ain't slamming I tune it out quick. Putting Beyonce on this "duet album" seems like Jay and Ye are trying to force this chick down my throat. I wasn't expecting Beyonce to be a part of this project. Her voice is so familiar it's getting annoying as hell. The songs I can listen to (bcuz of the lyrics) on her 4 album, I dont like her voice. I don't know if it's the beat or just the tone of her voice. She needs to go back and get some more voice/singing lessons. My voice sounds pretty bad, but singing Beyonce's songs it sounds better than her. I think that is sad considering she has 16 Grammys...
"LIFT OFF" IS JUST AS WACK AS "OTIS". WHO CARES IF BEYONCE IS ON THE TRACK, THE SONG IS STILL CORNY AS HELL. I BEEN SAID THAT JIGGA NEEDS 2 HANG IT UP IN THE RAPPING GAME. @BarbecueTee - I agree with you on this. Beyonce's voice sounds totally different now than it did when she first went solo. Age has nothing to do with it either. She's only going to turn 30, and that's not old. Look at Patti LaBelle! The chick can still throw down vocal wise like she did years ago! As far as Jay and Kanye, this is a hot mess. I heard, "Lift Off", and I don't like it. They better do something quick, because "Otis" and "Lift Off" are very subpar songs. After this album together, they need to call it a day. For real.

I just previewed it on iTunes...GARBAGE! These are supposed to be two of the BEST in the game. They claim to be ARTIST who are on "another level" and this is what they came up with???? Give me a break. As a consumer, I'm offended. As some point, we're going to have to hold people accountable. Step up or go home, especially if every word out your mouth is EGO-laced promotion.
