It's amazingly funny I am reading comments of single women saying they would leave their man (husband) if they were in Lisa's situation. I guess this is why some men aren't getting married cuz some women just want to be down with a husband only in good times. Ed, please dont resort to what the tragic loss of what husband of HWDC did this week. I was upset with Ice-T comment this wk after the tragic loss of Armstrong, now I totally gets his comment. (In that, if he had married to any of these housewifes he would certainly considered suicide an option).....sad but its true. Lisa talks a good game but if you listen to her you'd see that she's full of ish. She has more skeletons than 200 cemetaries and Kim Z knew it. Keith Sweat wasn't raising their kids because he didn't want them on the show--believe that. Ed is younger and lived beyond his means to please her. That whole real estate career was embellished, and she tried to start the other businesses (kids clothing, jewelry, etc) thinking the show would help promote them. When I saw Ed helping her make jewelry, I knew his career was over then. That's why they left the show. She didn't want her truth exposed.

If your spouse is going through a financial hardship why can't you be in support of them for a time period? If you really love them you wouldn't even give it a SECOND thought! @Dolemite2000 if you file for primary custody, when you've already lost custody, you should be barred from asking for child support. You want custody? Then prove you can pay for the children's support by yourself. If you can not do so, then you should not take the children away from the person who CAN provide them with that support and already is.

I've corresponded w/ Lisa before. She is a nice woman. Its unfortunate that you can't be a motivated, focused, business minded woman who wants to be a good wife, mother, entrepreneur, etc. w/o being labeled a b*tch or a golddigger. The Hartwell's aren't even on the show any longer and it CERTAINLY doesn't come as a surprise to me. I recall when they were DOWNSIZING Lisa was none too HAPPY. The borrowed close to two-million to move into a mansion that RIGHT there was a CLEAR sign that they were LIVING too HIGH on the HOG! Lisa didn't have any SOLID earnings just businesses that could have possibly FLOURISHED and you cannot BUILD a foundation on possibilities.

I think this is a false *** story! Marriage is hard work, u have to have each other's back thru the good *** bad. Sometime *** gets real bad, and that's no time to bail. I'm always suspicious of a relationship where the woman is over five years older than the boyfriend or husband, but I actually liked those two together. I would want my future hubby to be the main provider too, but I wouldn't divorce him for being a broke *** unless he was just relaxing all day, not even trying to bring an income into the household. I think Ed is in the United Football League now, but likely earning peanuts compared to his former NFL salary. They should be able to work this out, though. A woman really in love with the man, not his income, should be able to come to terms with a decrease in earnings. Oh, well. There's likely more wrong than just finances.
I just paid $22.87 for a XBOX 360 and my girlfriend loves her SONY LAPTOP that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. The man is a good catch, even though he can't go back to the living he once had. From what we saw (and you can never really go by that, but since that's all we know), he seemed to really love her. If she left solely over finances, she's one of those dumb women people talk about that don't appreciate a good man. And he's fine, too?! I'll take him.
They'd better not finalize a divorce, or that's how he'll get his money - alimony. If they stay married, she's not obligated to give him any set amount of money; and conversely if he gets back on his feet, he's not obligated to give his wife any set amount of money while married. It's when people become exes that they are forced to become the bankroll for someone else. One another note - what happened to for better or for worse? There is a big difference between a lazy man and a man who falls on hard times. Marriage vows are serious and for better or worse rich or poor. But like another person stated, a lot of these athletes and wealthy men seek women for looks and not for love/loyalty. If u are looking for an armpiece you best be sure you can pay for it bc when you run out of funds then you will find yourself alone. When will men learn? I was w my hubby when we were broke, when we were doing ok, when he lost his job, and now he makes more than he ever has. If he lost everything I would still be by him. That's what marriage is about! They seriously need to change the weeding vow quotes: "until death do us apart" to "until debt do us apart".
