clar, my mom and most of my aunts are redbones and they aged beautifully. You forget that lighter skin is still not white and still in most cases quite a bit darker than most white people. Light skin black people STILL have melanin and thats what keeps us from aging so fast. They are only light to us, not in relation to the rest of the world. Most people around the globe would call this dark. The real light skin people are white people.

She's in her 40's, right? Not a senior citizen by any means, but she's begun to look more of her age these days and I imagine wearing that dull white doesn't help either - but she should embrace her aging years opposed to searching for a surgeon that can give her that cookie-cutter plastic look, like so many of her peers.
