Do you remember several years ago when it was popular for girls to wear necklaces that said "B-TCH"? ( Girls use to wear them all the time ). It was trendy, a fashion statement. Something that made you look COOL!!!! However, wearing a "B-TCH" necklace today is kind of corny!!! i still wondering why she would buy that mansion knowing the contractors and inspectors told her of all the damage, why not go look at other homes, seems like this mansion will cost millions to repair. Why pay all that money for a home that have all those potential problems, or build your own home, I think the previous owners knew of the damages and just wanted to get this home off their hands, so they sold it to a very young person new to knowing anything about houses, so good luck getting a judgement against them.

Maybe I can shed some light on the situation for you. When Rihanna purchased her home it was BRAND NEW. And in the State of California, whenever you build a new home or make major renovations to an already existing piece of property, you are suppose to get a permit from the city in which you live. By obtaining a permit, a city Inspector is assigned to oversee every aspect of the construction of your property. This assures the buyer, in this case Rihanna, that the construction to the property will be done properly and completed according to city codes. (The city Inspector has to sign off on ALL ASPECTS the property before it can be sold.) Which means when Rihanna purchased her home, according to the city Inspector, the property was built correctly and met all city codes.
Had it not passed inspection, the owner would not have been able to sell the property to Rihanna, or anyone else.
Well apparently the current problems that Rihanna is having with her property was an oversight by the city inspector. (He/She should have seen the poor construction on her balcony, which is where the problem started, and made the construction workers fix the problem before the home was sold.)
As a buyer, you depend on the inspector to identify any problems with the property before you purchase it.
So I guarantee you, Rihanna DID NOT know about the poor construction to her property before she purchased it. Unfortunately, this happens to a lot of new home owners.
I'm sure the previous owner will fix the problem, now that this has becomes a legal matter. Because this definitely looks like a win win situation for Rihanna if it goes to court.
