So as I read these comments,,,Most people either don't like her or don't like her music but she made like 8 million dollars last year and is steady becoming the highest earning Female rapper of all time? But she only came out with one album? Not a Niki fan but respect her hustle. To me she is better than Lil Kim aka the real barbie fake boobs,nose,skin color and foxy I have anger managment issues so I can't work plus I'm deaf brown. Niki basically made in one year what the other two earned their entire career. She is the first female rapper to make the forbes list.
First of all people can be so mean and second if your a fan of nicki even if your not you know that she calls herself ie the harajuku barbie,for the people who are ignorant to what the meaning is.It revolves around the Asian and Chinese fads of harajuku fashion being that nick is wearing a tartan from the tom ford collection and a geisha inspired gown would be fitting for her image,just saying i dont like it doesn't make it right.

I wouldn't call Nicki the greatest female rapper ever. At all, Period, no. Is Nicki successful? Yeah, But unlike alot of people these days, I'm brought with money. Some of the wackest musicians alive made millions of dollars at some time. It's not about talent its about being marketable, and that is what Nicki (or her team I should say) is good at. So it takes more than quantitative qoutes to measure success. If you went by that, all the one-hit wonders would be at the top of the list.
On topic, this looks like a cheap costume. She, like most people (even the ones defending her), don't know what the Harajuku Culture is or how to execute it properly. She's half-assing it, and with the money she makes she should be able to go all out with it. Its something to sell (but not a bad product).

And she's a DOPE RAPPER. Definitely nice on the mic but I hate how the label markets her. I hate her being so "over the top". Eventually, it will fade..She's putting herself in a box and as soon as she's READY to "MATURE" as all artists do, Her fans most likely won't ride with her anymore. That's what happens when you try to be a "gimmick".
