: Forbes magazine published its annual list of the highest-paid men in entertainment yesterday, and Tyler Perry’s name was triumphantly in first place. He beat out the likes of Steven Spielberg (3rd) Elton John (5th) and Simon Cowell (6th). Leonardo DiCaprio, the world’s most-lucrative actor, came in at eighth.
Perry’s earnings, in the past 12 months, are estimated at $130m. That’s $20m more than his nearest competitor Jerry Bruckheimer, the film producer behind Pirates of the Caribbean. And it dwarfs the earnings of the world’s most valuable sportsman Tiger Woods, who came 10th, scraping by with a meagre $75m.

Black women between the ages of 30-65 who had no reason to attend the neighborhood theater. Tyler started black women going back to the movies after church. I know women who had not been to a movie in decades who started back going cause of his stories about black families.

I love Tyler Perry. I knew since the 1st stage play I saw that he was gone hit it big. Regardless of the haters he's going to continue to stack paper. The more money u make the more haters you have. Happy for the brother!! If you are so simple minded that you can't look at a movie and see it as pure entertainment!! and not take it so seriously something is wrong with you!! Every movie that comes out staring black actor we always calling it unrespectable,bafoonary & coonary. Tyler makes the best movies in Hollywood...they're actually the ONLY movies I'd go pay to see. Only ignorant, STUPID blacks who don't know a thing about movies would criticize him (and then sound so intelligent)..."his movies don't depict.."BLAH BLAH BLAH! They use BLACK ACTORS/ACTRESSES who AREN'T BEING USED ANYWHERE ELSE...they feature GREAT performances ALWAYS...they TEACH VALUABLE LESSONS..and they're FUNNY AS HELL!
