Floyd was thoroughly BEATING UP Victor Ortiz for 4 rounds. Victor got FRUSTRATED - and he HEAD BUTTED Floyd. Then - after the head butt, he walked over and KISSED Floyd Mayweather.
Money May could have GEEKED OUT and done something real RECKLESS . . . but he didn't. Instead he accepted Victor's apology - waited for the ref to say fight - and then TWO PIECED DUDE.
The fact that Victor was REFUSING to put his hands up is not Floyd's fault. And besides, Victor looked like he COULD have gotten up. But he knew that if he survived - Floyd had a WHOLE BUNCH of rights and lefts for him.
Yeah,dont be on *** side..The ref didnt start the fight,the ref was busy talking to someone on the ring side,the fight came and hug each other and suddenly MAY knocked the guy out just after the hug without waiting for the ref to start the fight,the ref was still talking to someone outside...but Ortiz got what he deserved for being a *** head

Ortiz head *** was clearly intentional. What Floyd did, while technically legal, was a classless move that boarder lines a sucker punch. Sure Ortiz may have had it coming, but I wouldâve liked to see Floyd re-act differently he was clearly winning the fight âon pointsâ. I don't know why people aren't blaming the REF. From what I saw the ref said either "Lets Go" or "Fight" and motioned for the fighter to continue. Then the ref looked away as if he never said anything at all. Yes Floyd hit him with his arms down out of retaliation for the head ***. But then Ortiz is either slow or handicap b/c he didn't put his hands up to protect himself after the first hit. He kept his hands down like it was a game (which he treated the match the whole ***). Floyd showed him it wasn't a joke. I don't think Floyd expected to knock him out for good. I think Floyd expected to keep fighting after the 2 piece. Unfortunately...Ortiz didn't get back up.

Glad you and Floyd are friendly but he still cheated. It was a cheap ***. The ref didn't start fight back up. Ortiz headbutted him and got the point deducted like he should have. When they showed the ref in the locker room going over the rules Mayweather and his trainer listened to what the ref had to say without interruption. My husband and I talked about Ortiz trainer interrupting the ref and asking questions. Ortiz should have paid attention to the ref before the fight started and maybe he would have known that head butting is not allowed. Ortiz clearly meant to head *** Mayweather when he had him against the ropes. Mayweather put his hand up to protect his mouth Ortiz hit him again. Then, Ortiz decided to apologize. Floyd won - FAIR & SQUARE. Thank you.
To the people saying the ref didn't start the fight back up...Just look at the top picture... it's shows the ref signaling for them to commence the fight....duh.
Secondly, there's no rule regarding touching gloves after a break and at the beginning of a round, except the last round. That is not a foul, you must protect yourself at all times.
I still don't like the fact, that Mayweather chose to win the fight this way.
