I'm not sure they realize that history is capable of repeating itself. @MTOaintSHEEYIT - First I have to say I am against the death penalty in most cases, including Troy's, but I am curious how you think that w.h.i.t.e.y is all to blame when the jury who not only convicted him, but also sentenced him to die was made up of 7 black people and 5 whites? Apparently he had *** in the laundry with the cops blood all over them, but were not allowed to be presented as evidence because the search warrant was not done properly. They also claim that the *** were linked to someone who Troy *** in the face earlier that same ***, who survived and identified him. Out of the 30+ people who testified against him, some duid change their story over some years, but not 1 would change it under oath... but with all this being said, how is this a white on black lynching when the majority of the jury who set his fate were his 'own black people'? RIP to him, only him, the cop, and the man above know what really happened that *** imo.
@blkdevildog none of that surprises me one bit, the thing that surprises me is that blacks were the majory of his jury that accused and sentenced him. I read a study before that said every year, apx 10,000 people are wrongly convicted of serious crime in the U.S alone, and the biggest thing leading to these wrongful convictions is eyewitness misidentification - even though black would stand out to us the most, there are soo many hispanic and whites who go thru this as well. I just struggle with blaming only whites, when the jury was the root of the problem, and it grew from there. If his own brothers and sisters didn't have his back from jump, why are people mad and surprised when others don't, but they get a pass?

I agree blkdevildog, if the only evidence was the eyewitnesses they should have let him stayed in prison the rest of his life instead of killing him. What I don't understand is how serial killers like the green river killer and BTK can kill over 50 or more people each and get life in prison and this man supposedly killed 1 person and he's dead.
