While Jennifer Hudson may have gotten a nice check or two, especially now that she's a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and is opening up her own weight loss centers, which is a positive thing, I'm quite sure David Otunga ain't trying to live off of her success.

In fact, he's probably more well known on a global scale than Jennifer Hudson. Otunga is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, and appears on WWE TV shows on a weekly basis. He's currently involved in a storyline with Triple H, one of the most powerful men in the wrestling industry today - so I think in terms of success, David Otunga has achieved incredibly well, and will certainly be making more than a healthy salary. Yes, the double standard is ridiculous (women not having to sign a prenup and men having to). no person (male or female) should leave their spouse high and dry if the marriage doesnt work out and they get a divorce. and as a woman i can say I dont think any man should have to support his wife's whole rest of her life as long as she is able to work. if any man/woman is married to their spouse for a long time (like 15, 20 years or more) then they should have to provide SOMETHING for them. But unfortunately people dont respect the sacrament of marriage these days- they only want to get with someone for a *** period of time and live high off the hog the rest of their lives (basketball "wives", real housewives, etc).

IF, and that's a BIG IF, this story is halfway true, it's probably more along the lines of he didn't want to sign YET until all conditions agreeable - hence a delay (not cancellation) of a wedding. Maybe I've been living under a rock somewhere, but I thought that they were married already. It's not much that she can do about it now in terms of their child, but she should have held out for that too. That way if he didn't want to sign the pre-nup, she could walk away from this relationship with a clean slate. But, now that they have a child together, she will always have a bond with this dude, whether they decide to get married or not. And, Greg4422 had a good point. It is a double edge sword. I personally hate the idea of having a pre-nup. But, in Hollyweird, unfortunately, people need to have it. But at the same time, it's almost as if you're walking into the marriage expecting it to fail when you sign a pre-nup. It's like you can't win either way.

in these days a pre-nup is a necesssary evil. does he have a job of his own? if he was secure with himself and his finances, he would sign the *** thing. i'm sure it's a difficult situation when a pre-nup is introduced into the relationship, but when one is making wayyy more than the other, ya have to protect what you came into the relationship with. when you're only married for one year and you are able to take over half of the others assets, it's a ***. this is why pre-nups are introduced in the first place, to protect what was yours to begin with.
