: We have absolutely NO idea what happened to that girl She was cute and seeme to have CRAZY style. Now she looks like a mix between KELIS and NICKI MINAJ . . . and she's ONLY got the WORST parts of each!!!
She's Sri Lankan, she got older and put on a little weight, she went through some life crisis stuff, that's what happened. Also, her people got brutally defeated over there, nearly wiped out by the people who won in Sri Lanka. Her music talks about this. Do a little research & work, MTO, but she'll be back. Love you MIA, girl!
Bad choice of clothing, but MIA is not a bad looking girl. She's just really different. Outfit resembles MTO journalistic skills.Yup to a tee. Lucky for her she can change her outfit, but can MTO change their ignorance??? lmbo So for the hell of it I'll go and check and see what she's DOING these days. For those who only know Paper Planes check ->>> [link to external website removed] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeMvUlxXyz8&ob=av2e
This post has ignorance written all over it. First of all, she's English. From England. It's like calling all American blacks African. Second of all, she's of Sri Lankan desccent, not Indian. And if you're going to say "same thing", then that just adds to the ignorance. That's like calling all blacks Jamaican. And last of all, the song is called "Paper Planes". Jesus Christ. And we wonder why there's so much ignorance in the world. It's because media outlets don't realize how influential they are, and what they are breeding. Or maybe they do know, but are just ignorant.
the posters and MTO have to be some of the most ignorant people on here, like others said she is English from Sri Lanka, second of all Paper Planes is the original song... Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Jay-Z sampled it, third she has multiple albums out and had a baby (so she isn't on drugs). She came out with a mixtape "Vicki Leekx" earlier this year as well, and can a female be different in this world. Her style matches her music, I see nothing different. She is still producing and has been out since 2005 maybe even earlier, so where have yall been
BoomBoom or whoever you are, IT DOES MATTER what someone says about your ethnicity especially if your are a global figure like M.I.A and bring pride to your little known nation. Being HAITIAN is different from any other CARIBBEAN or LATIN AMERICAN nation in the region. My country is Afro-Latino and has a Afro-French culture much different from Jamaica's...in either case I would be proud being from either country where a sense of culture is prized and not depreciated as in America where we've assimilated to this no-Christmas-in-classrooms and take-out-In-God-We-Trust nation. It's like saying Wyclef Jean was Cuban and Sean Paul Domincan, it makes a difference.
