When my father died i received social security like most children with a deceased parent. They just want to uphold a lifestyle instead of simply maintaining. Im not saying their greedy, but considering that its one child who's father paid into the system she should be fine. Asking fans to support you further than buying a cd, *** or concert ticket is tacky. Nate dogg and heavy d are probably turning in their graves.

Really MTO? I don't see the big deal. My aunt did it for my uncles funeral. In lieu of flowers please donate money to the (inserts child name) college fund. People like to show they care and why send flowers on top of flowers that are going to die when you can invest in a child's future? Nothing wrong with that.
@jmagic, you keep up a lot of *** on this site. It is very tacky to ask readers to send money. Ask Queem Latifah, wasn't that one of his best friends. He did live in Beverly Hills where the apartments cost about $3000.00 per month, to start. If he could live there, then he had a little bit of money.
Hev was not broke. He was making a little movie money here & there as well. Those entertainers that pass away should not need donations unless it's a special case. And they all got "friends" that spend $$$ on anything so they should help if needed. Some of yall commenting on s**t yall know nothing about.
Those of us who were hip hop from the beginning know that many of our artist were robbed of millions. Heavy's daughter is 9 years old and will need an education to succeed. That is why donations are being requested in lieu of flowers. Flowers just wither and die Xea's education will last a lifetime. MTO you should really use better judgement when it comes to your headlines!!!!!!
I wish I would send my money to a man's family who has made millions. However does that is a fool. While Heavy was making that money, he wasn't thinking about sending poor children to college then? I can't feel sorry for someone who had the chance to make more money than most people will ever see in a lifetime and then waste it. What a shame!
I'm a fan of his music, but don't feel responsible for picking up the slack for his wife and daughter's financial state. His last album, a reggae album, did well. I know an up-and-coming artist who couldn't get a response from him at that time, to get put on. Now come to find out his daughter is probably from a white woman? Please. Let her family help. Heavy D 's daughter has nothing to do with this, I know the facts, I am her grandmother, Josette Lofaso. Xea's mom is a very successful Celebrity Chef and author. She has always financially supported Xea and will continue to with no help from any fund. This is outrageous that someone ihas established this fund and attached Xea's name to it. Pure Disgrace
