While the specifics of the incident are UNCLEAR, what is clear is that police were forced to REMOVE James Lackey from his home and put him IN JAIL. And it's also clear is that when police arrived in the home, they found enough evidence to CHARGE James with Child Cruelty and Criminal Battery.
Usher's reps have not yet commented on his brother's charges.

You can't always believe what the media says. Even if you look at the mugshot sites, which is were mto got their info in the first place. They especially put false dirt on your name just to embarrass you, if you are a celebrity's brother. they did me that way & I am not even a celeb. The Law is crooked & don't give a *** about someone else' reputation/name. Only simple minded fools believe it all. Not saying it is or isn't true but don't believe it until some more facts are produced.
meekalovesray - Usher father lived in Dallas, TX for several years and lived in Tenn and Atl. Ii'm sure that you knew that right and Usher was named after his dad and Usher isn't the only child that his dad father that is name Usher. His dad wasn't perfect and he had his issues but he was an excellent singer and musician. I guess he did get something positive from his dad.
When a man get's to a point were he hits any woman, the relationship is over. At that point if its a real man/woman loving thing and not a hook up thing, let the woman find a man who wont hit her and love her and your kid. You can still be the dad to your kid. It hurts you and the child and the kid recalls how daddy beat mommy. Is that the way any man wants to have his kids see him. Even if its not a loving relationship thing, never hit a woman. If shes hitting you leave and call the police. If she's trying to kill you only should you defend yourself, otherwise leave the premises! Ushers Brother is still really young, as he ages he will be fine. We all make bad decisions!
Meekalovesray, donttuchme is right. Usher was born in Dallas, where majority of his dad side resides (i knowca few of them in Houston). He was raised all over, but Atlanta the most. Plenty people choose one place to call home after being toted around like an army brat. I know i did. Anyhow, this is a sad story, but statistics have shown that a great deal of women and children are abused, which means he's not the only celebrity sibling to get out of hand. Which makes this not news. All you did by reporting this is depress a few and let others show that they're insensitive aholes.

See every woman can't get to Usher,but they can attach themselves to his WEAK little brother and get them a baby and once they start talking about him paying child support with money he don't have then he snaps. First off we don't know what led up to the physical contact so Im not taking sides. Women are just as aggressive and in some cases more aggressive than men in relationships but they dont broadcast the men being abused or beaten on by their women. It happens all the time but men dont call the police or press charges due to pride and humiliation. Whatever took place in their home is their business because nine times outta ten...they'll end up back together for the sake of raising their child. People need to learn to mind their own business and stay out of other folks. My mom always said....when youre tending to somebodys business, somebodys tending to yours too. Abuse is never ok but I hope they can learn to be responsible parents and negogiate for the sake of the child. I dont believe in throwing people under buses because God forgives continuosly so who are we to cast stones.
