: Heavy D was finally laid to rest yesterday in a star studded private funeral in his mone town of Mount Vernon, NY. Tons of celebs, including Will Smith, Jay Z, Diddy, and Usher were in attendance. And even President Obama, a fan of Heavy D, sent a letter which was read during the eulogy.
As sad as this is . . . it's GREAT to see everyone come out and support. Hopefully, those same people will help to provide for Heavy's daughter Xea. The family has been taking up a collection, to help secure her future.
I see my man Pete Roc was one of the Paul Bearers can't tell if C.L Smooth was in the house, but I'm sure he was; Heavy D. was not broke!! I wouldn't be surprised if someone from MTO staff set up that "FAKE"
account for donations. Queen Latifah was very good friends with Heavy D. not to mention others and she has become extremely successful in her own right and Not the type to leave her friends talented or otherwise behind if they are struggling and in need of work. Check out the mans W.I.K.I.P.E.D.I.A. for his many accomplishments listed and I noticed some behind the scenes stuff that I know he's done not listed. Which his family will cash in on rightfully so, besides a million dollar plus life insurance policy. So stop with the bull MTO! Heavy was easy to get along with, loved, intelligent, funny, caring, compassionate and most Definitely PAID!
its so crazy because at the awards when he performed he looked so healthy and was getting it in R.I.P to a tru pioneer of hip hop...i have to wonder how many of these celebs were there for him in life...i doubt hes broke his daughter will be taken care of most responsible parents set up things once they have kids never know what could happen
I'm in tears
Heavy D was the ever most popular rapper with positivity .
Rest his soul
Even if you don't know who he was ..ask about him & I promise you will only hear Good Things
This man was the epitome of class
I rily love tht lots of celebs came out 2 celebrate hs lyf and its sweet tht Prez Obama sent a letta BUT why must our 1st black Prez alwys b assosiated w celebs?! What of blackscientists, black doctors, black lawyers?! Educated blacks?! Please please DONT get me wrong its gr8 tht hz hip n hapening bt i wish he wld also b assosiated w other blacks 2...
Hmmm I agree with customcalendars and do NOT believe his family is collecting
funds for his daughter. I think MTO could be behind the whole thing. If they were able
to bury him this quickly I believe he had insurance and at the least she'll get Social
Where were all of these celebs when he was trying to get his career back off the ground, when he needed money to keep his health up?? Thats why people get cremated. They know in the end the people standing around your body are not your loved ones, just the guilty ones. Like hells angels. R.I.P. Heavy D
Heavy D ....If it wasn't for you...it wouldn't be Biggie/Fat Joe/ Big Pun or Rick Ross....Thank You for your " Contribution To Hip Hop"...It's a shame that these LUCIFERIAN/FREEMASON celebs / pastors are their to see you out & to make themselves look good....FUCK ALL YA'LL. R.I.P HEAVY....~Killuminati~
His daughter is soon pretty. Everyone looks so nice. And to the person that said Heavy D was not on the scene for long, I'm sorry but YOU must not have been on the scene very long. Heavy D is a hip hop legend.
May he rest in peace. His music gave people a lot of joy.
Ya'll had better be kidding (or telling the usual MTO lies) about the need for a collection for his daughter because he made far too much money not to have secured his family's future years ago. I ain't hearing none of that.
Damn "some" young people are so damn ignorant and clueless nowadays. @Browncutie- "he wasn't on the scene that long" he been on the seen before your young ass was conceived. What tha hell are you talking about? Damn people think before you speak. It makes you look hella ignorant. R.I.P Heavy D!!!
Really glad I got to see him perform for the last time on the award show. He was a true artist, and made great music that everyone could relate too, young or old. If you don't know who Heavy D is/was you must be a millennium baby... I suggest you Google him and learn something. R.I.P Heavy D <3
So sorry about Heavy. He was a legend! Condolences to all. Now, why is it that Jay Z does not have a long black cashmere overcoat to wear at times like this instead of a Pee Jecket that is a size smedium? Take a page out of Diddy's book and see how to dress at such an occasion.
How can his daughter be broke with over 5 billion dollars in one church. I know damn well that they will look out for her. If they don't I hope they all go to hell. Heavy should've had his finances together. But since he didn't now is the time for these greedy so-called rappers to come out they pocket for his daughter. Do something wit yall money instead of buying 1 million dollar cars and 50,000 dollar jewelry. Stick together like us white folks do. Ya heard me?
This hit me really hard. He's a legend and was a great human being by many accounts. I think most loved him, but it's sad that he never really got the full respect or admiration that he deserved imo. He didn't get a lot of hate, but should have been mentioned more for his contributions. I was so excited to see him on the BET Hip-Hop Awards in October and for him to get one last chance to shine on stage and in front of a national audience. Watching his performance brought back so many great memories of my childhood and it was just great to see him do what he loved. Heavy will definitely be missed.
Mediatakeout should be sued for claiming Heavy d died of Aids... And they should be bared from covering any news about the rapper. I know all of Black hollywood came down hard on mediatakeout for that Bullshyt.. Notice how they switched up their attitude.
I cannot decide what is funnier John Legend....and John Legend or "Paul Bearers"...yes I can "Paul Bearers"---LOLOLOLOLOL!
Some of your bloggers are the BEST!
Anyway, RIP Dwight..."I got NOTHING but luv for you..."
Mediatakeout is a bunch of haters. Here is a pic of Will and Jada together: http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.979928.1321662091%21/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_240/image.jpg
HEAVY D WAS A RITUAL SACRIFICE. HE DIED IN THE MASTER YEAR (2011) AND WAS THE MASTER'S AGE (44). THESE WICKED ONES USE NUMEROLOGY OR SUPREME MATHMATICS WHEN PLOTTING RITUALS. LOOK AT THE WORD SACRAFICE ABOVE HIS CASKET. NOBODY THOUGHT THAT WAS ODD. LOOK AT HOW AL SHARPTON IS POSITIONING HIS HANDS. HE'S SPEAKING THE SECRET LANGUAGE BY USING SIGNS!!! BEWARE OF THE PAGAN BET AWARDS AS MANY OF OUR BELOVED ARTISTS HAVE MADE "COMEBACKS" AT THE BET AWARDS THEN PASSED AWAY SHORTLY AFTER. RICK JAMES, JAMES BROWN, MICHAEL JACKSON, ETC. THIS IS A MASONIC MOVE. DESTROY & REBUILDING. TAKE AN ARTIST WHO'S IMAGE IS DESTROYED OR FORGOTTEN AND REBUILD THEM BACK INTO STARS BY PUTTING THEM BACK IN THE PUBLIC SPOTLIGHT. IT CONJURES UP MORE ENERGY FOR THE RITUAL. IT MAKES THE WHOLE EVENT MORE SAD B/C WE JUST SEEN HEAVY D ALIVE AND WELL AT THE AWARDS.. THIS EVENT WAS PLANNED FOR A LITTLE WHILE NOW.. STAY WISE & ALERT..
