You all know that if you had a niece , nephew or any relative for that matter, you would not want to be bothered unless the baby looked mixed because that is just how ignorant the so called African American community has become. You all think it is a good thing but what can this woman teach a boy of African decent about RASCISM the first time someone calls him the *** word! But oops, everyone is so stupid nowaday they are saying *** is a term of endearment when it really is not! It did mean something when people the age of my parents were getting beat and hung! But all of a sudden, everybody want to act like they are so cool with each other! If whites, blacks and Hispanics are so cool with one another, just go ask your white or Latino friend to help you with a job if they are a supervisor and see how fast they will help your behind out! I am pretty sure they won't help you and probably never will because they are looking out for their own, unlike most African Americans.
I am a proud African-American man and I have NO PROBLEM with a Caucasian (because that is politically correct) Woman raising a Black Child..A child is a child, regardless of skin tone or ethnicity..and ALL of God's children deserve a loving home that will give them the best in life..its sad to see that some people are still stuck in the 50's when its *** near 2012...GROW UP PEOPLE!!!...but adding to what someone else said in this post..I just hope she at least has enough cultural knowledge to let the baby understand early that he is of African descent and let him express his ethnicity in the way he chooses to..
If these white people really wanted to help and make up for what their ancestors did..they would leave these babies in their home with their people and their original culture. Instead of taking up ONE child and buying them *** like uggs, gucci purses and fur coats take that money and FIX THE CHILDREN DEM LAND! Other than this you look like you just want another accessory and you aren't impressing anyone with some true SENSE!
I haven't a CLUE as to who this woman is, but be it black, white, green, yellow, or pink multi colored with swirls and nuts on top.. SO WHAT .. children need homes, and love and if Peppermint Patty is the one to do it , GOOD FOR HER! Now, all she had to do is learn about black hair care, and she good!

People unless you are going to adopt or have adopted a child,,, *** da *** up. It seems like a fad to me. adopting "third-world" babies. Madonna has two and she seems like she can give a care less about them. On one hand I am happy that the child has a chance to survive and have a financially stable upbringing but on the other hand I feel like there is something off....
Ugh.....this whole thing with these hollyweird starlets adopted African children is really starting to get on my f*ckin nerves!! I don't understand why these kids are now becoming the new thing....before it was HOT nobody paid no attention to them except to pretend to care with their donations! Its annoying to know that we have millions of kids now in the U.S who need a home and these attention cravers wanna go out and get what's "in" like they kids a f*ckin bag or some ***. THERE ARE. P L E *** T Y OF CHILDREN IN NEED RIGHT WHERE Y'ALL DUMB TAILS AT ADOPT THEM!!
And just for the record in no way shape or form am I saying that this children deserve more or less than the other just that these celebs want maddddd attention and adopting a black baby is how they're gonna get it. We know this kid ain't gonna grow up like the average black child and he will lose anything that deals with the black culture and heritage....am I wrong for thinking this??? No! This is exactly why people think dark is ugly and white/light/and in between is beautiful.....exactly why!
Reading some of these posts just proves the point of how IGNORANT some of our Black people in the US are and YOU ARE THAT WAY BECAUSE OF WHITE PEOPLE ! They really have you thinking that Africa is nothing but poor dusty disease ridden people. You have no idea what a truly rich CONTINENT it is and that there are way more countries in Africa with beautiful land and well fed people NOT warring with each other than you know. If it was so bad so many Asians and Europeans wouldn't be trying to kill off the Africans (and helping them kill themselves) so that they can move there! Think about it. Do any of you ever hear about the beautiful music, food, people, landscape, arts etc? How many of you on here talking ish have every visited any place in Africa? They don't want you to think it is a beautiful place. There are poor diseased illiterate people right here in the good old US of A just like in any other country but for some reason Africa is seen as the worst? AGAIN any country in Africa that is riddled with war, poverty and disease HAS BEEN COLONIZED BY EUROPEANS! Get it through your thick heads that these people are afraid of more educated, well traveled and beautiful Black people going to Africa because it would mean YOU might actually start a diamond, steel, ivory etc. company. YOU might actually profit from the land and GASP help the people because they look like you instead of trying to kill them silently so that you don't have to fight to gain their resources (like they are doing now with the Middle East) BLACK BROTHERS AND SISTERS PLEASE WAKE THE F*CK UP!
I have no QUALMS about whom is adopting what race of children....I'm more concerned IF these CHILDREN are dwelling in GOOD, SOUND environments and MONEY is a MERE resource it doesn't ENSURE the SAFETY of so MANY children that are ABUSED, MOLESTED and such! Are these women being THOROUGHLY accessed to determine IF they are capable of raising these CHILDREN or are they GLOSSING over ALL of that because they have the RESOURCE to adopt.
